I bought this to use as an ammo cabinet, rather than for gun storage. I have a fire rated safe for that. That being said, I covered the interior with carpet that matches that of the safe. I also added adjustable shelves for ammo storage and bolted to both floor and wall.
Cabinst seems to be made nice and sturdy & the finish is flawless. Lock was a little hard to lock & unlock, but just a squirt of WD-40 took care of that. The only negative things I could mention would be that the gun rests are kinda cheap foam that has double sided tape that you peel & stick to the wall. Also, not sure if you could actually fit 10 long guns in it.
As long as this is bolted to both the floor and wall, it seems it would be pretty secure against a smash & grab, but a determined thief could probably get into it with a little effort. Probably best said that it would keep honest people honest, and keep curious kids from gaining access to your collection.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Gun Safe
This is a fair gun safe. If someone is intent to get in they could given a bit of time. But I have seen where even the heavy safes were able to be breached. I bought this one to keep out any small child and to give me the peace of mind that my guns aren't just placed in a closet. With this said I'm glad with my purchase and it is great looking also.

Not a gun safe, but you can secure the cabinet to the wall and provide reasonable security for your firearms for a reasonable price. I was able to fit two side-by-side shot guns and four long rifles with scopes in cabinet. The deeper cabinet is essential for the scopes. The shelf was too low to fit one of the rifles (shotgun with a choke) so I had to leave the shelf out. A flimsy piece of foam stuck to the back of the cabinet holds the guns in place, but it does the job.

Was looking for an 8 or 10 gun Stackon cabinet and stumbled across this one on the HD site. Could not believe the low cost and free shipping. Cabinet arrived in less than 36 hrs, but I do live close to WI, where I believe the Stackon factory drop ships these from. Great cabinet. Good quality. Nothing else to say.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Excellent value for dollar
This cabinet is a great value. Well built, clean looking and strong enough to keep friendly hands out.
The foam for the floor is flimsy, as is the foam with grooves for barrels. Get creative and find a scrap of carpet, or even a doormat for the floor. I'm keeping the long guns I have in it cased. As of now, I have a full size shotty, a Marlin 795, a shotty with pistol grip and a 5.56 AR all cased inside. The shelf holds mags and other small bits and pieces.
Example of long guns that will not clear the shelf would be a Mossberg 500 with all purpose barrel. There is enough roomin the space in front of the shelf though. The way around this issue is to not install the shelf. I highly doubt that this cabinet will hold 10 long guns.
Overall, an excellent value for me. I would not hesitate to buy it again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by johnshoreline great gun cabinet
Gun cabinet. Not a safe but well constructed. Comes all welded, no assembly except for the shelf. Appears to be solid and the locking mechanism works well. Happy with the quality. Expect to drill additional holes to meet your installation requirements. Fasten in as many places and on as many sides as possible. Packaging was damaged but inspected it before UPS left and it was perfect. Black finish and details look good.

Very good value for the money. The cabinet is not a safe but it is far more secure than a traditional gun cabinet. Highly recommended for keeping guns safe and out of the reach of kids.
