This product does not split into two pieces. The only other piece is under the two tabs as a seperator for more tools to fit in the top half. It travels best for organization standing up. I personally placed it in the backseat with a seatbelt to keep it from hitting the back of either seat while driving and hitting brakes. It fits in a trunk of most trucks and SUVs as well. I personally placed it in the backseat with a seatbelt to keep it from hitting the back of either seat while driving and hitting brakes. It fits in a trunk of most trucks and SUVs as well. It will fit in most trunks laying down if you prefer disorganization or possibly hurting your back depending on the amount of weight inside. Read Less

Answer:
I had over 50lbs in my toolbox and it lasted a little over two years. Thankfully the wheels were durable enought to handle it and so was the plastic (which I often worried about but never had issues with!).

Rated 2.9 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rolling Tool Box I really like this product. I just needed something to keep my small supply of tools in one place and to be able to access them when needed. Plenty of room and I can move the work center out of the closet easily when needed. Not sure how it would hold up to a lot of heavy work but for my use it is great. August 12, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Tool box is cheaper and thinner than what I had This box is ok but I think it got cheaper and thinner than the same box I bought a few years ago August 9, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product Perfect size for its use. Only one complaint-the handle needs to extend longer. May 3, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Functional for Automotive School This rolling box allowed me to hold all my heavy tools for automotive school. It held well over what I was expecting. I stored wrench's, hammer's and other heavy durable stuff in the bottom. It held my screwdriver's and flathead's in that very top shelf and underneath that I had the pliers and other less heavy items split up in cloth zipper bags for organization and protection. The only downside was it liked to roll over on its side when accidentally bumped or when stored in the back of my SUV standing up. It sat great in my friends car since I found that we could buckle it in with the seat belt as to stop it from rolling over. It only began to break towards the end of the two years I needed to use it for. The yellow tab broke off and now the bottom half will no longer stay closed but thankfully I only use it for storage now that I am done with my automotive degree. Also, alot of the guys were asking me where and how much since it had wheels and is cheap enough for students. It would be nice though if there was a way to lock the top and bottom instead of just the top. March 25, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product....Shipping not environmental friendly! Fast shipping, very well protected in packing. Although this was not environmentally friendly packed. The Work Center stands about 3 feet high, they were each packed in a separate box, which were large enough to fit two in. Much packing material was used so the product would not get damaged, which is good, just not for the landfills. January 14, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not buy I bought one of these to have a box I could put in the pickup and roll up to a door or inside a house. First, the plastic broke in the back. Glued it. It is top heavy and tips over. My solution was at first to screw on a plank on the backside to keep it from tipping but then the plank drug on the ground when rolling. Very unwieldy. Spend a few bucks more and get something good. This is junk. August 21, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Junk!!!! Didnt even make it 3 days before it fell apart (literally). Then, trying salvage what I could- I tried to use the top box to store rags in since the rest was broke. WELL that lasted a day or 2 before the handle came off and became completley useless. Don't waste your time or money April 1, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by The closing door is very fragile and the plastic locks too the Stanley mobile work center is excellent in its design, but the manufacturing is of a poor quality November 6, 2013
