PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Model # ST65022DXQ

Internet # 202984946

The Swisher 6.75 gross torque Deluxe String Trimmer is an ideal back-saving alternative to heavy handheld gas trimmers, The trimmer's extra-wide 22-inch cutting swath rivals that of most lawnmowers, while its user-friendly design offers unsurpassed, precision trimming and edging performance. The trimmer features 14-inch wheels for plenty of clearance and smooth rolling over rough terrain. The tough .155 in. diameter cutting line provides ample cutting strength for weeds and thick overgrowth. The off-set trimmer head makes it easy to trim in hard to reach places. And, when it's time to edge, the head rotates 90-degrees for touching up around sidewalks, driveways, and flowerbeds. The trimmer line is easily replaceable without the use of tools. Made in the USA.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.4 out of 5 by 7 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by It's a little bit like art The way this trimmer cuts through the weeds and grass like butter. SOME HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT STRINGS CONSTANTLY BREAKING. WELL, THIS TOO IS AN ART. I'LL EXPLAIN. My 8 year old grandson uses this tool but he too breaks strings constantly. The ART of it is use the very tip of the strings to do the cutting. If you move the head in too close the strings will use the first third of the string leaving the last 2/3 to swing about, snag, and break. Use it gently with an artistic soft touch and you will go three or four uses without breaking any strings. My best is 7 uses doing a fence around my one acre property. The best feature by far is the fact that the cutting head rotates 90 degrees to use as an edger. When you consider this tool replaces a weed eater and an edger, and can be used to mow large areas too. It's a bargain at this price or $100 more. April 4, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by I was unable to rate Features, Quality, Ease of Use, Value individually as clicking on them takes me to a different page This machine did what I expected it to do. The angle of the trim head does change a tiny bit if the clamp is not cranked very tight. The trim string that came with the unit was fairly tough until I ran into debris hidden in the grass (boards, roof gutters, and concrete blocks). That would be expected. Extra Swisher trim string bought locally was far, far inferior in quality and broke in thick grass (not necessarily weeds even). This is my only disappointment. I learned to carry extra strands on me as I mowed. Also, atomized grass is hard to clean off the machine and the include goggles were appreciated. A full face guard is a good idea. June 13, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sturdy well built trimmer for dense grass & weeds Build quality is very good. When cold, engine starts easily. Pulling trimmer behind you seems to work best. Very good in tall grass & weeds. Engine slows but never seems to stall. I use it to keep 1000 ft drainage ditch clear. Not a fine trim tool, but much much better than a hand held trimmer for heavy weeds. This trimmer uses same engine as other brands, 190 cc B&S. Harder to start when hot. Overall good tool. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great tool but with some areas in design that could be improved Nice mower, here is the Bad and the Good. BAD: My mower was shipped without a few parts like bolts to hold the wheels on! Fortunately a hardware store was about 5 miles away where I found suitable replacements. I also found the design of the lock for the swivel tilt to be a simple U-bolt device with a lever screw, very "homemade" in its design and it works poorly and is certain to break and fail before long. It does not hold the cutter level while mowing for very long, so the operator needs to be vigilant to prevent scalping the lawn down into the dirt. GOOD: It does a great job of edging along concrete walks and drives. Easy cutter line attachment allows you to use any trimmer string so you are not stuck with just one alternative. I have an incredibly steep front yard that you can hardly walk down and I was able to mow it by running the mower side-hill just fine. The mower tackles vines and briars with a passion, and cuts large stalks of softer weeds up to an inch or more thick, but will not cut hardwoods much over a quarter inch in diameter. It will mow down thick stands of bahia grass and wire grass that would stop a hand held string trimmer or push mower. I have areas I cut with it that have a lot of trash in the ground like bricks and rocks that would ruin the blades on a conventional mower. The off-set function is great for getting under landscaping shrubs and for trimming along walls and fencelines. In summary, worth the price, a durable tool and well-made with a couple design areas that could be improved. June 12, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by I like the idea that it mows, trims and edges. Difficult to handle. Plastic lines will break if you hit edging material. Nose of unit slides along on a ground and will snow plow if you are not careful. Takes some getting used too. Should have something more stable on the nose pcs. March 27, 2012
