Outdoor use

Is the jack post suitable for outside use under my deck where it will be exposed to weather?
Asked by: dond
If I used them outside It would be for a short period of time and I would gp grease the jack screw lightly and make sure I had a base block or 4x4 under it on a level surface or concrete slab..

Cabinet jack?

Will this hold kitchen wall cabinets in place while I hang them? If not, can you suggest another product?
Asked by: APKC
Tiger Jack Post is an excellent product. This is the third time I have had a need to jack up a house for repair and the third time I have used this jack, easy to install and easy to use.

Can this be used to raise a pool table off the floor about 1.5" to place shims under legs?

Asked by: Mook
You can use this jack to lift up one end of the pool table at a time. Just make sure you place the jack in the center between the legs. Use a measuring tape to find the center and place a piece of masking tape in that spot on the pool table. Don't leave the pool table supported too long as this puts stress on the legs that are on the floor.

I purchased this jack post along with another to level up a section of the subfloor of my 75 year old house. The jack was easy enough to assemble and the screw adjustment worked well with a 3/4 inch open end wrench. The jack worked well for what I intended it to do (raise a 3 ft span about 1 inch). There are several issues that can be corrected; 1) the two pin bolts do not align completely together which put the load on only 1 pin and thereby I assume reduce the load capacity significantly. 2) The cap nuts for the end of the bolts did not screw on more than a thread or 2. Since they don't really serve much purpose, this did not concern me too much. 3) Most importantly, the instructions recommend using the jack with the screw adjustment down when jacking on a wood surface. It was almost impossible to keep the base plates in place when turning the adjusting screw and I ended up just using the jack with the adjustment screw on top.

I have used them on my house in the crawl space and they work fine the only flaw I see is the plates they need to be designed better so they stay in place without falling off or moving around, other than that it is a fine product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use and adjust. I have used 100's of these. Would like to see them distribute through their retailers like HomeDepot a composit pad for bearing these post. We commonly use a sawzall to cut these post to length.
