It is a good product but not that easy to install as it claims, especially if you don't have access to the subfloor. Make sure that when installing the walls that they sit flush to the pan walls. The flashing kit is good but make sure it doesn't stick out from the walls. I also suggest you make sure your mortar base as close to the depth of the ribs as possible as this will prevent the pan from creaking from low spots in the mortar.

We used this pan to replace a tub. We chose it b/c we wanted a seem-less, custom look w/o the hassle of pouring a cement pan. Also, ours is raised up to accommodate plumbing, so I was worried about the weight of all the cement. There is quite a bit of work that goes with the installation. The base has to be set in cement and then tiled with epoxy thin set. I am not sure about the black drain pvc piece. It looks a little cheap for such a pricey unit. We'll see with time I guess.

The 30 X 60 tile ready shower pan fit easily into the space where my old bathtub was removed. The pan is solid and perfectly dimensioned to ensure a sturdy, water-proof base that is instantly ready to tile without the hassle or problems of other shower base options that use membranes, for example, to prevent leakage. The pan is contoured to allow sufficient drainage and comes with a curb which precludes having to build one. It is easy to install and alleviates any concern about water getting into the floorboards and rotting the understructure. For ease of installation, time-saving, and confidence that the result will be water-tight and secure, this product is well worth the cost.

$590 bucks down the drain. I had a professional contractor install the tile-redi 60x30 pan per the manufacturer instructions. The mortar bed did not set correctly around the drain, allowing the pan to flex to the point where tile couldn't be installed without fear of breakage. He had to rip it out in pieces. I read reviews after the fact, and found that a lot of people have had issues with the installation and have found other ways to make it work.

The only problem may be the flow lines in the bottom. They are a bit sharp and may make laying the tile a little more difficult

Had to make plenty of adjustments to make it a tight fit. More info on how much mud to install on base would help. Also the flashing should be highly recommend to help keep the installation water tight.
Tricky cuts when installing tile on base, not for beginners.

Worst engineered product I have seen in a long time, to hook up the drain in most installation would be a total nightmare and the product support is nonexistent. I do not understand why home depot even offers it for sale. A much better option is the KBRS Hard core shower slopes
