Customer Questions & Answers

What is the difference in commercial?

Hi. I would like to install my second floor. I like the color that you have but it says commercial. I am little confused about that. What is that mean for commercial is it more sturdy? or dark?

Thank you for your interest in Commercial Modern Oak Chelsea Resilient Vinyl Plank Flooring. "Commercial" signifies that this flooring has a 10-year light commercial warranty in addition to a lifetime residential warranty. This flooring would be perfect for use in a home.

Customer Reviews

Commercial 6 in. x 36 in. Modern Oak Chelsea Resilient Vinyl Plank Flooring (22.5 sq. ft. / case) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks amazing To be honest with you I was expecting a texturized type of plank, but instead they come with a plain print. The picture online is a little off, is more in the chocolate side with some silver grain. At the beginning I was disappointed with the color, but once I started the installation I could tell my floor was going to look amazing. Once the entire floor was finished it all blended in together, the grain looks real, the color is even. Make sure to order a box extra just in case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing stuff. This is the second time I've used Allure, and I've been thoroughly impressed both times. It goes down very easily, is very durable, you can't beat the cost per square foot, and it literally looks like hardwood, even when you are right on top of it trying to tell the difference. The pattern on the board is very diverse, so you don't have the typical issue of a printed product where planks start to repeat themselves. Make sure you have a sharp knife to score with, and change blades often. It makes an easy job even easier. I found the easiest way around vents or other holes in the floor is to go right over them, drill a pilot hole, and use a power jigsaw to cut them out once you've passed the area. This avoids getting "dust" from the cutting process on the adjacent tack strips, which is annoying to remove. The Chelsea oak pattern has a milk-to-dark chocolate color and a silver-ish tone in the grain. I like it, and so does everyone who's seen it, and I have friends who would tell me otherwise if they didn't like it. Make sure your floor is really smooth. The only downside, if you think it is one, is that if you lay this product directly down to the sub floor without padding or anything under it, you will feel ridges in plywood seams, nail heads that are raised, or old carpet pad staples that weren't pulled. I suppose using a base layer would alleviate that issue, but I chose to be careful about leveling the floor instead and it worked out great. It's limitation as a product is that it's not structural like hardwood is, so you need to plan ahead a little more for small inconsistencies in the floor.
