Not waterproof. Will also add to both bulk and weight to the parcel, and may increase your shipping costs.

I've been needing butcher paper and this seems like it but I'm not sure about it. I'm going to be using it for a school project, and its gonna be hanging up on a wall.

Answer:
Heavier weight than butcher paper. Might not be safe to use in kitchen and food prep if in direct contact with food. Would not advise using it in oven!
For a school project it could be a versatile canvas (good surface for gluing things on and using crayons and magic markers.)

Answer:
It's the same color as butcher paper but it's thicker paper. It would be more durable than regular butcher paper. You could roll it up to transport it and because it's thicker it wouldn't cave in and wrinkle like if you rolled up butcher paper. I think it would be better to use. It's not flimsy and if there's a breeze it won't be blowing around or moving while it's hanging on the wall.

I know of two types of 'butcher paper' ... the first being waxed and often used as the paper next to the meat. And then the outer brown craft paper.
This paper is much stiffer [thicker] than the latter.
But for a school project that will hand from a wall, it should work well.

this is pretty much the same, with one difference. Butcher paper has one side lined with plastic. This is just brown "shopping bag" style paper on a roll.
I think it would be ideal for a school project.

Yes, it will. Use painter's masking tape to hold it in place. Won't damage the surface when you remove it.

Answer:
This paper is much stiffer.
If you don't need a moisture barrier, replace the deteriorating paper with the pre-cut wires made specifically for this purpose.
[I'm assuming the paper dry-rotted ... unusual.]

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Used for epoxy protection I build small boats using Epoxy as a glue. I had to laminate two pieces of Mahogany in place on the boat and needed to protect the interior. This worked great. I'm now thinking of using it under my laminating bench to protect the floor below. February 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great role of paper Great paper. I use it to line the bottom of my chicken coop dropping tray. May 17, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great purchase for this application We are using this for temporary shade covers at windows. It is easy to work with, light enough to hang and blocks light. May 17, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Its very handy and worth it it was helpful towards my project, only if they can make it or its corners heavier to avoid waste April 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by brown paper the produce can be used for many projects... I thought it was best for me as a floor cover when painting and cover my work tables when I do small project on it. April 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by One of my better ideas - brown builder's paper! I do a lot of remodels and clean ups in a building with apartments. Typically I replace the flooring during the remodel but this particular unit I decided to use a giant area rug for the living area so I decided to try the brown builder's paper. It's affordable, easy to use and tough enough that it withstood moving heavy saws and tables along with moving ladders around. I will definitely keep this on hand because the plastic dropcloth just doesn't cut it. April 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by brown masking paper Excellent paper thickness and weight, does not tear easily, holds paint away from masked materials April 5, 2016
