I have only used this for my small yard. I believe for the average home owner this is just right.

I bought this for the purpose of raking up grass trimmings and the handle bent immediately in the middle making it the rake practically unusable. The rake requires a downward force to make sure all the teeth are touching the ground. If you don't apply normal downward force only the edged of the rake will manage to rake while debris will go right through the middle of the rake as the teeth are not adequately touching the ground. If you are able go to replace the handle with either a wooden or fiberglass handle this might not be that bad. But I shouldn't have to replace the handle in order for this product to work adequately. The teeth and rake head seem like decent quality, but there are other options that are better.

I bought this rake to replace one with longer metal tines. The longer tines broke off with continual use over the years, so I wanted something a little more durable. The rake works fine for smaller piles of things, but doesn't do as well with large amounts of leaves, etc. The "working part" of the rake appears to be pretty durable, but the top part of the metal handle inexplicably split (see photo) after less than a month of use. I am assuming that it is a manufacturing defect as I am a homeowner and had only used the rake a few times. Guess I will just duct tape the handle and hope that the rest of the rake holds up over time.

We raked a ton of leaves this year because they fell late and so did the snow. We just kept going as long as we could. The rake didn't break, no rust or bends in the metal tines. I think it's too small to rake a lot of leaves. The leaves would get stuck on the rake and we'd have to pull off by hand. Maybe better suited for small jobs or raking sand or dirt. I'm comparing it to a larger, longer rake we have that didn't give us as much trouble. Only give it average value because that bigger rake we picked up at a garage sale and is ancient but worked better. (Bought in August 2012)

If you look a landscaping trucks on the road you will most likely see these rakes. They are light weight, durable and a good size for most urban landscaping chores. They are not large so not well suited for large area leaf removal, but are a great all purpose rake. I love mine because it is light weight and durable. The aluminum handle is nice - you don't have to worry about splinters.

Because I am short and cannot easily handle a large rake, I use a "lawn rake" for all leaf raking. I have used lawn rakes made by this company for years and plan to continue doing so.

I use it camping. I needed something a little stronger than your avg. rake but yet light weight . I used it on rocks up to 2 in. around ,small gravel ,weeds, grass and loose roots and moss. I always make a 8 ft. clean track around my camp fire and for that it worked great.

Metal and already to use. Having the maufacture connect the handle with the metal is a good feature. If you buy one that you put the handle on, they do keep getting a loose connection.
