In my opinion it burns @ close to 90% efficiency. Burns VERY hot, so make certain your wood is not TOO dry.

2,000 sq. ft. EPA Certified Wood-Burning Stove is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 31.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from could be better I just installed this stove last week and it's a nice looking stove, but even when I put seasoned hickory in it, it did not do the secondary burn. I found I have to leave the door cracked open for a while to get it really going like it should. The paint fumes wasn't that bad and the glass stayed clean, it's a nice budget stove but for the price you could get the drolet ht2000. This stove just don't draft as well as other stoves on the market but hopefully it helps lower the electric bill some, so all an all its not bad stove but there are better stoves for the money. Bought stove at TSC in Salem IN

This stove had something wrong with it because with the draft wide open there was no air entering the firebox. I removed thr ash pan plug so I could lite a fire and keep it burning. I ordered the stove online so I did not see it before it arrived at the store. The fire box was moch smaller than I thought it would be from reading the stove discription.

While it works well so far, I was disappointed a company called US Stove Co makes there products in China. The instructions were pretty clear and easy to follow, except not telling me the heat deflector was inserted in the top of the stove, above the combustion air tubes. Also the air damper was stuck and I had to disassemble it to get it to move.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stove developed cracks after only 17 months I bought this stove in September of 2014 about a month ago I noticed a sizable crack in the bottom left of the opening to the stove. I use a temperature gauge and have never exceeded the correct operation temperature of the stove, however I live in a cold climate so it is fired up almost every day during the winter. I don't believe this stove is made from quality steel (thus its price) and cannot handle being consistently operated. Of course they only offer a one year warranty ( on replaceable parts) for these stoves and now I see why. This is not a dishwasher or other complicated appliance. When people buy stoves they expect them to last for many years without problems. The one year warranty is a joke. Also, he blower is incredibly noisy. It can be adjusted to different speeds which will quite it down only until the stove expands or contracts causing loud noises to reappear. I have checked and all bolts are tight on all parts of the stove so it seams this noise issue is not solvable. Do yourself a favor and spend more money on a decent stove.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As Advertised Good quality. welds were very good. Really liked the back heat shield. Back wall hardly gets warm. The 150 blower is phenomenal. Once the fire gets going the blower really puts out the heat. Great purchase. Recommend!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We LOVE our Country Hearth 2000 woodstove! We replaced a 40 year old dinosaur wood stove with this Home Depot model, the Country Hearth 2000. This was not a store model (we shopped it online) and we hoped it would meet our expectations when it was finally delivered. It arrived within 10 days of our order and was delivered right into my garage on a pallet. It was extremely well crated making the move into my home on a hand truck easy. Setup was simple and required only a 5/16th socket and a philips head screwdriver....3 nuts to tighten, 3 screws for the heat deflector and 4 for the blower installation. Within 1 hour of un-crating this stove I was lighting a fire. With only a small amount of wood (as instructed) we heated it up to 400 within minutes and held that temp all afternoon/evening. It smelled pretty bad at first while the oils/fresh paint burned off so doing this on a day when you can open you windows is a must. Since I monitored it the whole time I also removed the batteries from the smoke alarm as they were all going off during the initial 2-3 hour burn in period. Now that I am using the stove on a regular basis I can say it is fabulous! Once it is up to temp with a nice bed of coals, it keeps my 2100 sq. ft. home nice (open floor plan) and toasty warm. The ambiance of the flame with this air wash system is very relaxing and we found ourselves fixated on the fire for hours. We shopped around a lot before this purchase and while I was somewhat skeptical (when compared to others) of the quality of this stove I have to say that for under $800 with shipping, this is a Home Depot Bargain I am glad I took a chance on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stove at a great price. It's a nice little stove. Puts out plenty of heat, and has a nice wide door for loading. The big window with lazy flames is absolutely gorgeous. Its still summer here, and we light it up at night just to 'set the mood'! The fan was a nice surpirse.... It has a rheostat on it, which makes the speed of the fan infinitely adjustable. Ordered it online, it was on my doorstep in 7 days. Love it! Thanks, HD!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Will tell my friends about it Great stove, just don't make my mistake. If you can do the first burn outside before you put it in your house. the burnt paint smell lingers for a while. I opened the windows and it just wasn't enough
