I have used many different types and brands of stripper, but Ultra Strip is by far the best that I've used. I used it on the frame of an antique mirror and it stripped off all the years of paint and varnish to the hidden oak wood with ease. Very easy clean up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Leave it sit - It works GREAT We are stripping paint from antique doors with multiple layers of paint. Easily removed the layers and only a few doors needed a second application. We did let it sit for approximately 36 hours before removal. Prior to scraping, we used a spray bottle with water to reactivate any remover that may have dried. Waited 1/2 hour and then began the scraping. Worked very well!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great as long as you keep some things in mind. Think of your paint stripping job as a process, not an event. Preparation is key. Have all your supplies ready. Lots of rags, gloves, trash bags, paper towels, brushes, etc. I just did a old garage door with this stuff and from my experience... You should apply this stripper as thick as you possibly can, but do not allow it to dry on the surface. You should be scrapping off the first layer(s) of softened paint within 6-8 hours, no longer. After you scrape off the first pass, re-apply more stripper right away and let it work on the lower layers. Go heavier on the areas of stubborn paint. Subsequent applications will attack the paint faster each time. Afterwards, wipe the area dry with several lightly dampened cheese clothes or clean porous rags until the surface is clean of residue. Good Luck.
