Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by knockerccd Yes this fits A20VA46/Model # 960460063
Just wanted to let everyone know this bagger fits the A20VA46/Model # 960460063 Ariens 46" riding mower I bought from Home Depot this spring. It was a question I had myself since it didn't mention it here in the product description nor on the box it came in. They need to update this product description to let those who bought the a fore mentioned riding mower that this bagger is 100% compatible. Easy to install. Hope this helps someone wondering the same thing I used to. Enjoy.

This is the only grass catcher available at Home Depot for the 46 inch Ariens. It is junk. I have an aging Craftsman tractor that I am replacing that has a Craftsman brand grass catcher, so I have something to compare to. The other reviews are correct. The rubber gasket won't stay in place because the head of the top tube is much bigger than the hole it goes into. There is a bulged shoulder that takes the gasket out every time. Bad design. Note that my 20 year old catcher has never once had this problem. Further, the Ariens catcher is crudely made. Looks like the top edge of the tube was cut with tin snips and not smoothed out afterwards. Yes, I have several cuts from wrestling with it to get it installed. Very crudely made. Finally, the little paddle indicator in this one is defective. Doesn't turn at all. Yet, again, the 20 year old one works fine. This was a true waste of $315. Junk. Poorly designed, sloppily made. Save your dough It's really not worth the trouble

Assembly was easy from start to finish, just follow the instructions. The rubber gasket on the cover will come loose during the first use. (Super poor engineering) I followed the lead of one of the other reviewers and used Gorilla Glue to hold it in place. It's still in the cure state; further comments may come later. The size of the bins for my lot are too small. If you have a large area to mow and you bag I would recommend the 3 bin bagger. The reason for the "fair" quality rating: the support perimeter for the bins are made out of plastic and that curved plastic rides on a metal tube. I do not have any idea what the quality of the plastic is but if you mow and bag frequently I'm sure you and I will find out. Based on the previous bagging system I had on my 12 year old Troy-built, this one is inferior.

I purchased this recently for my Ariens, Model # 960460056, 46 in. 20 HP V-Twin Briggs & Stratton Automatic Gas Front-Engine Riding Mower. I purchased the mower in late May 2014, I also provided a review for it. The bagger works great. It was an easy install. I have about an acre of hardwoods and the leaves get out of control during the winter season. I do have a couple suggestions for anyone looking to purchase it... it will clog if the grass and/or leaves are wet. Also, the bags will fill quickly if mowing leaves, and again it will clog. As long as you're mindful of this and don't overfill it, it works great. I'm pleased with the bagger.

I used my new tractor and bagging system this past weekend for the first time...went from a 14HP Toro rider to the Ariens 22HP - the Ariens moved a whole lot quicker and the 46" made the job faster. The bagging system worked well, except that it does shoot clippings at your back because of the less than perfect seal...as noted in some of the other reviews here. I'll probably stuff an old tee shirt into the gap next time I cut. Also...wish the bags themselves were a bit bigger but they worked fine. All in all quite satisfied with my purchase.

The bagger was extremely easy to install and you can remove the entire bagger and housing to mulch without a wrench, screwdriver or ratchet. No tools whatsoever just pull a stop bracket and it is removed. This is a big plus for me as I mulch and bag every other turn. But there is one big issue with the bagger that I do not like. The rubber seal is not attached to the cover housing. The directions say to turn the upper chute as you push it through the rubber seal. Every time I pushed the upper chute through the rubber seal it would fall out of the cover hole. I can not believe Husqvarna would allow this bagger to be sold w/out adhering the rubber seal to the cover housing. It fell off every time I engaged the blades. I would recommend this bagger ONLY if this issue was resolved.

Rubber gasket has to be glued in order to insert the tube that routes clippings to the nagger. Other than that it works perfectly.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Randy Rubber seal pops out
I just purchased this 46" bagger for my Ariens 46" cut lawn mower. While this bagger fits well onto the lawn mower and the price is really great there was one issue I found that should be corrected at the factory. The discharge tube has to fit through the bagger top and there is a rubber seal around the hole where the tube fits through. The directions say to rotate the discharge tube as you place it through the hole to keep the rubber seal from coming out. The manufacturer could have glued this seal in to prevent it from slipping and coming off. I basically got some Gorilla glue and glued the seal in and when dry the tube went right through and everything worked as advertized. Also this bagger will fit lawn bags but they tend to bulge at the bottom and when taking out the lawn bag are difficult to remove. I may decide to not use lawn bags and just have the grass discharge into the bagger or get fed up with this one and buy something with a little better quality.
