Its impossible to get the bottom bar into the door frame unless the door frame isnt installed yet. After cutting the bars down so that they could fit up into the frame, we cut the threshold to fit into the door frame...not even close to as easy as in the video! It is fairly thick metal. We finally did that and now the front of the threshold is too deep and the front door wont close over it. After hours of work trying to custom fit this thing, we have given up. What a waste if time and money!

My handyman was able to make this work. I am happy that I don't have any gapping spaces below or above the door. However, there was no space for the part across the top of the door because the porch ceiling is too low. Manufactured homes are a bit tricky to deal with since they are not uniformly built like a standard house. Also, there is settling that occurs.

It makes the Security Door as good as a screen door for keeping bugs out. Enhances the comfort of our home while looking good.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Tx91791 NOT EASY TO INSTALL
Despite the box saying it's easy to install, it is not. The bottom legs have to be cut very short to get it in the door frame. It's very difficult to drill into a steel door. Even after going back and buying bits for that purpose I failed. The instructions also say to use tin snips to cut the included threshold. ...extremely difficult to impossible.
All the parts are now cut and damaged so I'm out $50, plus the cost of the drill bits and tin snips, for something I can't use.

Had to do too much cutting and the extension was very flimsy. The instructions were very general and the top piece could only be used with a 36"door.I had to go back and buy something for the top of the door.
