Can you make the lattice go higher than 8 feet? If so, how? I want to cover a wall that is 12 feet in height.

Asked by: gg
Hi gg and thank you for your question. We do not have lattice in sizes other than 8ft, however you can connect 2 pieces to cover the space you'll need. To do this, you'll use divider moulding #73004066.

Any special prep to paint?

Asked by: builderbabe
We scrubbed it with soapy water and a stiff brush and used superpaint with a fluffy roller. That was about five years ago and it still looks great.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not last I installed 7 sheets of this on my patio and entry pergola in 2012 using deck screws. By the following summer, I noticed cracks at the edges where the screws were - including small chunks completely broken off, leaving sections unattached to the framing. Each succeeding year, the problem became worse with cracks entirely across the pieces. I thought it might be due to having the entire 4 x 8 sheet only attached at the edges, but I had a short section of 16 inches by 8 feet that broke completely across in two places. This year I replaced it all with a wood lattice such as I had up in the past for years. This vinyl looks great when first installed but will not last - especially if exposed to any wind.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product This product is great! I installed it overhead to add shade to a garden area where we grow a lot of ferns and such. When we had our roof replaced (about 12 yrs ago), I saw one of the roofers actually step on this product and it held his weight. But this was because I had screwed the lattice in place. We've had it in place for about 14 yrs. I'm replacing it now because of all the abuse it took over the years. The wood lattice I used before only lasted a few years before it rotted out and needed replacing. This vinyl lattice definitely held up MUCH better than the wood lattice does.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from terrible product I bought 30 of these one year ago and not one survived the summer. I fallowed the installation instructions perfect and everyone of them started to warp and crack. Even the 2 that i didn't use and put in the shed cracked from the heat. Terrible service from the manufacture and bogus warranty. they wont help after 10 months good luck on the lifetime warranty

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Would I buy it again yes!! I found the product to work just fine if you know how to actually install it. You have to give it a sort of "frame" to support it. I added it to my porch to make it more private and it allows my small pets a chance to go "outside" in good weather. My porch is large {40x8} and faces full sun so the panels get rather "hot" for lack of a better word we also get quite a bit of snow and freezing temps. in the winter. I found {after we put it on} that you should NOT screw it in tight, my fault, I read it on the product, but it happened. It needs to be placed securly but because it swells it does need the room. I've had this very product on my porch for about ten + years, There is some very small cracking where the screws went in, but like I said, it was really my own darned fault. And BTW, I am a woman, when I bought it I was only 35 with no special skills, I just used common sense installing it!
