I did not thin mine and it went on great. Uses a good amount of paint, I could have used less paint if done by hand but no where near as fast.

Answer:
Yes, it can be used for latex paints.
The instructions say thinning not required but, I thinned by solid stain a little, I mixed 1/2 cup water in the gallon before I started spraying. When painting, especially spraying, you want to apply 2 light coats, instead of 1 thick coat. Allow time to dry in between also!.

Answer:
Yes it will spray latex paint and you should not have to thin it. I sprayed Behr exterior Masonry and Stucco paint with it unthinned. Remove and clean the piston once and a while during the job as latex will build up on it and it will stop spraying. Removing the piston and cleaning it only takes a minute.

The Power Painter Max absolutely is made for using wth latex paint. A lot of latex paints will be able to be sprayed without thinning, however thicker paints may need some thinning to be sprayed.

If you wanted to know more specifically and could call Wagner with some specs from your paint we could help determine if the paint may or may not need thinning. All latex paints are quite different in regards to how thick they are and if they need thinning and just how much they need to be thinned can vary. If you are going with oil paint yes I do recommend to thin it, penetrol or mineral spirits 1/10 of the can sprayer should be enough.
Now if is water based flotrol is a good way to thin.
Good luck and dont forget to overlap a little with each pass.

Answer:
Yes you could spray kitchen cabinets using the Wagner Power Painter Max. If possible it would be best to spray them outdoors as with any airless sprayer they were will some over spray to deal with. Make sure to take time to cover anything you do not want paint on that is nearby.

I would say yes, if not already installed. The overspray would be to much for inside painting. My wife intends to remove the doors and spray them, while hand painting the existing cabinetry.

This sprayer would work great with latex paint. I have owned over six Wagner sprayers and this one is the best I have ever used. I have no problem spraying primer or latex paint with this gun. I takes about 15 minutes to clean the gun but this keeps the gun working in tip top shape. Also oil gun after you clean the gun before the next use.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent spray pattern The spray pattern from the sprayer allows for easy coverage with little over spray. Easy to change from horizontal to vertical pattern. July 12, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Unexpected mist The sprayer produced too much mist while painting walls. September 6, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by It was too good to be true. Everything worked fine for the first 10 minutes. And then it was all downhill from there. It kept getting jammed because my primer was too thick. It was behr primer. Nothing out of the ordinary. It is a paint sprayer after all. Anyway. I thinned it out. And it still keeps jamming. I'm so mad. Spend more time taking it apart to unjam it than I have spent painting. Bought this to save time from using a brush and I'm barely breaking even and it's wasting a lot of paint. I'm so mad. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by OK when worked, but piston spring broke within minutes. Just started using it today to paint stucco. Used without the cup following manual with the enclosed tube pulling paint from the paint can. Read the manual twice. Followed all steps. Worked fine for about 3 minutes and then stopped. Since the tube was full with paint, it was not clear whether it create suction or not. After 2 hours gave up, disassembled, washed well. Turns out that the piston spring was broken in half. This is on the first time, brand new item. Wagner, shame on you for your quality control and for my wasted time (researching, buying, waiting for the order, and tinkering with it hoping it would work). Now the rain is coming, so at least a week is lost. March 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great for staining fences I had to stain my mom's fence this past weekend so I purchased this sprayer from home depot. I stained the inside of her fence in the morning, then took apart the sprayer per the instructions immediately after I was done and really cleaned out the parts well. I took a break and resumed staining in the afternoon and it worked just fine. I think the key here is to make sure you clean out your sprayer immediately after use as to get all of the paint/stain out of the system so it doesn't get clogged up. After I got used to using a sprayer I was able to bang out the other side of the fence in half the time it took me to do the previous side. September 28, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sprays evenly, easy cleanup, works good I do maintenance for RV parks in Arizona. I use the power painter plus inside and out on RV's, trailers. Works very well February 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wangner spray Just I can say great, wonderful. If you follow the instruction this machine will make you happy. Thank you March 1, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked great! Just used the sprayer a couple days ago on a tall outside wall of the house. It worked great. Was easy to use. I thought the "remote hose" was going to be longer, so it was kind of useless for my purposes. When it's full of paint, it is a little heavy but not awful. September 2, 2013
