My husband and I recently sold our Hawaiian home and bought another in Florida. Unfortunately, everything house-related is usually sold with the homes in HI because of the cost of shipping. As a result, we needed to acquire tools again which are usually only a one-time purchase, like this 8' fiberglass ladder with 250 lb. load capacity. Initially, we used it to reach the high areas while painting the interior walls of our new house. My husband is leery of heights, but felt confident on this ladder. It will be invaluable for so many everyday chores outside as well as inside. We are very happy with our ladder purchase from Home Depot!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Timpala I said I wanted a raise so he bought me a ladder.
I'm a big guy so I have to take ladder selection seriously. This Werner 8' ladder was in a display outside with other ladders at various discount prices. The price was right and I was picking up materials for a new siding job on my house. You'll notice in the pictures that I had to purchase my siding materials from another box store as my local HD didn't carry Hardie planks in stock. I still purchased the ladder and it has been invaluable during the siding job.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ArdeeBee Good, tall ladder
The ladder is tall enough to get up on and clean my gutters out. It is too tall to use in the house since the ceilings are only 8 foot high, so I should have gotten a six foot ladder. I also feel that the feet on the ladder are not as good as they should be for the price of the ladder.

A real good ladder at a real good price. Just open it up and start climbing. I am pleased and would recommend it to others.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ShortPerson It's light enough for a small person to carry and tall enough to reach what needs to be reached.
light and sturdy (and now I'm adding words because the online survey insists my review was too short, so my only complaint has nothing to do with my purchase, but only with the survey forcing me to either cancel my whole response or add text after I've already said all I had to say - Suggest you alter the survey to allow short answers).

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hangnail Great Ladder for Installing Tall Posts
Can you believe it? I only had my similar five foot ladder along with me to use to install 10 foot T-posts. Short version---Fell off the Five footer and broke my leg because it was too short for my short height. Walla! Eight foot ladder is plenty tall to install tall posts, yet is light weight and easy to carry. My recommendation: Use a ladder tall enough for the job at hand and don' break your leg. Broke legs not only hurt, but makes it harder to climb the taller ladder; e.g. the intimidation factor slows you down. Wish now I had bought the eight foot ladder earlier.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by bellastella227 Good, sturdy ladder at a great price
We have needed a taller ladder at our home for some time. We had a 6' and sometimes it just didn't quite reach. I found this 8' ladder on HomeDepot.com on sale during the holiday season and I couldn't resist the great price and free shipping---I don't know how I would get a ladder home otherwise! It was backordered for some time, but we still received it in time for the holidays. It was wrapped in plastic delivered right outside my front door. We haven't had to use it many times yet but it seems sturdy and solid, as a quality ladder should be.
