Answer:
debbie,
As long as you can open the doors to 90 degrees, then you will be able to access the interior drawers. If you added a couple of inches to accommodate the clearance of the door handle, then you will be okay. Thank you for viewing this Whirlpool home appliance.

Answer:
The plastic stop is used to create a full seal when the doors are closed so it wouldn't be advisable to remove this piece but it actually closes just as clean as the right door after a little while... We don't notice an inconvenience having it there. Before purchasing it, I wondered if the doors would need to be shut in order (left first - then right). We have the same problem with our newly bought Whirlpool refrigerator from Home Depot. If you don't check that the left door is shutt, it is often open. What can we do?

Answer:
The French doors are designed this way to provide a tight seal and not let the cold air out. This is a necessary item that allows for consistent temperature management and your fresh food to stay as fresh as long as possible. Thank you for viewing this Whirlpool home appliance.

The 26.8 cu ft is the accurate cu ft now. The federal government as of September 2014 required a new way to measure the cu ft of refrigerators. This new measurement has caused the cu ft to drop. The space is still the same, but the way it is measured has changed. Most retailers and models have updated their information, however there still might be some that haven't fully updated. Customer Reviews

Rated 2.3 out of 5 by 73 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not Buy Our original Amana refrigerator after 20+ years had died and we thought we would give this a try. It looked great, very spacious and we loved the ice make and water dispenser on the side door. At first bought this refrigerator worried that I had made a mistake - I was correct. The first week ice formed along the door on the bottom and it took over a month to get it resolved and 2 years later the compressor has gone out. After a week and a half (and three phone calls requesting update of when to expect repair) the estimate came in for over $750 to fix. NEVER again. I learned my lesson with this last Whirlpool 'lemon'. Definitely getting extended warranty on next refrigerator purchase. March 18, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Piece of junk! We have had this fridge for less than two years. In that time we've had the thermostat blow out, the ice maker stop working, a loud, loud, loud whining/buzzing noise that even the Whirlpool technician couldn't figure out, and now it's got a freon leak! For the second time in two years, hundreds of dollars of frozen food has been thrown away! Whatever happened to the good old Maytag/Whirlpool products we grew up with? I'd give anything for my mom's old fridge! May 13, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Like the refrigerator AFTER the repair I bought this unit knowing about the issues people have had with the ice maker condensation and the noise. I did my homework. I discovered that Whirlpool now has a new repair kit available for the problem. My unit was manufactured in early 2013 - I bought it in September. The condensation started within days. I called Whirlpool - they acknowledged the problem and shipped 3 boxes to my house and scheduled a repair. The work took about 2 hours - now the unit is perfect. It has been running for days with good ice production and no condensation. With respect to the noise... Mine is quiet - never seemed noisy. December 12, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by LEMON Don't buy My experience is the same as Phil. Fridge ran great for 7 months. Then frost build up on ice maker. Service pack installed and now fans sound like model airplane motors at full throttle with ticking noise and no ice is being made. Up to 3 service calls now. Asked whirlpool if they reimburse for food spoilage, they don't. If this thing dies that $500 Costco trip is not covered. The Home Depot extended service plan covers up to $300 of food spoilage but it doesn't kick in until the manufacturer warranty expires. Whatever you purchase get the extended warranty. Chances are you are going to need it. May 21, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DONT BUY WHIRPOOL TUBBERWARE NOT GOLD I purchased and paid at least $3500 for the White Ice WHIRPOOL Kitchen Appliances early of 2014 and now every appliance has an issue. WHIRLPOOL TUBBERWARE NOT GOLD The refrigerator is the biggest headache. First issue was the cheap hoses they use for the water line the plastic cracked and had a slow water leak that didn't become discovered til almost the one year warranty was up. I had baseboard damage and didn't complain because I just wanted my fridge fixed. BIG MISTAKE. Next was the ice maker freezes up. Which was fixed but looks nasty. Now I have another water issue. Not sure where the water was coming from, I thought maybe the FIFTY DOLLAR ($50) WATER FILTER that you have to purchase every six months. Now dripping from right corner and water filter line. My drip cup fills up daily but the corner leak can not be controlled. That one leaks all the way to bottom tray and ruins all your food. Along with my frustration with the fridge I wake up to find my microwave door is cracking. And the stainless steel dishwasher I spent extra money for so it won't rust, it's rusting. Also the top rack always falls off track. No warranty left and not sure if I want to dish out more money on a pieces of junk. It's like getting a face lift when you are 90 years old... Is it really worth it. Great right... SO PLEASE DO NOT BUY THESE APPLIANCES. Also I have nothing against Home Depot. They are one of my favorite stores ranked right next to Costco. They are great and have excellent customer service. I purchased LG washer and dryer the same time I purchased kitchen appliances and not one problem. I think they should think twice about selling poor quality of appliances to their customers. December 31, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not buy!!! The ice maker freezes in the back of the unit . It has already been repaired once and still is a problem. Now after just 22 months my unit will not defrost. I called the repair man and the computer is bad in the unit and will cost me $400 to repair. The part needed has already been discontinued and had to be ordered from manufacturer. He said this usually doesn't happen for 8-10 years, but because this unit has so many problems this has already happened. The repair man spoke with other repair men and they have nicknamed it the nightmare refrigerator. September 14, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very Disappointed In the first 18 months we had to replace the motherboard because the freezer stopped working. Now 3 months later, the compressor is gone. Whirlpool will not back this product. I am very disappointed. You do not expect these issue for the money spent. Stay away from this Whirlpool. December 23, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Purchase EVER We purchased this refrigerator in February of 2013, in February 2014 the evaporator broke and it took a week to fix...now in June of 2014 the same problem but i have been waiting 2 weeks and 4 days so far, no fix, no working fridge. Nothing but headaches trying to get answers and passed from one person to another with no help at Whirlpool. They claim to have the best interest of the consumer at hand but how is that possible when I have 2 children and no working fridge for almost 3 weeks now. I was informed today that the part is on a factory backorder meaning that it isn't available anywhere in the US. Kudos to Whirlpool, I thought i could trust this name but i was wrong. If the fridge didn't break all the time it would be awesome, great features, lighting, etc. i am very unhappy so save yourself any problems and dont buy this. July 8, 2014
