Asked by: douglas
Thank you for your question. RIGGS offers a similar jean, The Wrangler RIGGS Men's Relaxed Fit Work Horse Jean. The Work Horse Jean has an hammer loop, like the RIGGS Carpenter. and has 5 pockets. This is the current link for the RIGGS Work Horse Jean, http://www.homedepot.com/p/Wrangler-Men-s-Relaxed-Fit-Work-Horse-Jean-3W001AI/204209567.

Men's Relaxed Fit Carpenter Jean is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor value for price The crotch area was worn thru in six to eight months on two pair of Carpenter Relaxed Fit Riggs Workwear Jeans. I would classify the use as moderate. I have had $20 workjeans last two or years under severe use. These were over $30 and did not even last one year. I like the color and the pockets. But, in my opinion these pants are way overpriced for the value.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sizes are not consistent Have been buying this style of pants for ten years now. Never had any problems until now. Have been buying the same size for the same amount of time as well. Just ordered new pants for the year and gotbthe same size I always get and they are way to tight now. Makes no sense to me unless wrangler decided to have another foreign country start making them and there sizes are different then US sizes. So now I have to mail back at my expense and order bigger ones and wait once again for new ones

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Make these in navy blue and dark grey I wear these pants exclusively for work and casual. However the colors are stuck in the stone ages. I work in a city among creative urbanites. I don't want to look like I'm going on a hunting trip after work. So ditch the Loden and Kaiki and make them in dark navy and dark grey. Also get rid of the leather pocket protector. It's too bulky for a tape measure to clip on to. I cut the lather patch off as well as all the other patches and logos. also, I cut off the hammer loop too. So just make a version of these ripstop jeans that omit the carpenter pockets and hammer loop. Nobody uses those anyways. I usually wear a 38 but the crotch seam is digging into my groin when sitting down on the last few pairs I ordered. The pattern seams to be getting smaller in the groin area so adjust the pattern to provide more room in there.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My go to pants These are my everyday go to work pants. I have had at least ten pairs of these over the years. I love the belt loop placement for holstered tools, the crotch gusset, reinforced pockets and the oversize slant topped pocket on the leg to hold my smart phone. They wear awesome but the knees wear out before any other spot. Thanks Wrangler!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from What happened? So Wrangler changed my 'Go to work pants'. The old version had the belt loops in the perfect spot to keep my holstered tool where I need them. Now two back loops are removed! My tools slide around to my back where they get very uncomfortable in the truck seat and on equipment. With the two loops missing the pants hang like a potato sack on my belt. The fabric seems to be lighter weight. These pants seemed to shrink much more than the last ten pair I have worn (Ranger and Carpenter Riggs). The side pocket I keep my phone is is slightly smaller, especially after washing, to the point my phone will not fit all the way in the pocket. I requested an email inquiry from Wangler when I bought the last two pair of Riggs Carpenter pants, no reply. Last pairs I guess, I'll have to spend a little more on some Duluth Trading carpenters that fit great, last longer and have the right size pockets. Too bad Wangler, It was a good run but quality and function is everything.....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great work pants I need a combination good looking casual pant that can be worked in. These fit the bill. I work in the quality department and at a desk most of the time, but some times I have to get into the work to verify to the resolve problems. These are great. Rugged and look nice.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did not hold up for one small job I had to lay a new vinyl floor 11' X 13' in a basement over concrete, so I was on my knees for a bit. To my surprise when I finished there was a large hole in the left knee, and I was upset about it. These pants were only worn about 3 times because they were so big and loose. I purchased these because I had 2 pair that lasted me almost 5 years. They really must have cheapened the material. They are not worth the money that they command for these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Side/Utility Pocket has shrunk Great pants - a bit tight but made me realize I needed to drop a few pounds! The utility pocket has shrunk and I can't get my cell into it also moved to the left. The overlay pocket has been removed. The Bark color is really a light olive green not brown at all. But still a great color. Heavy weight material, a bit stiff but comfy since I dropped 6 pounds. Love the leather accent and the cordura back pockets really dress them up.
