Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Matched Hudson Bay Matched Hudson Bay Old Mill Hickory perfectly! It would be easier to install if the stair nose front edge went a little longer. Not much for instructions for installing this on a step that protruded from the wall and I needed to do two 45 degree corners with mounting system it uses. Should be stocked in the store instead of waiting for snail mail. Worth the wait now that it's in! September 17, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Split level Bought the nosing to finish off a set of stairs in my split level house. Laid 700 sq/ft upstairs and had 4 steps that I wanted to have laminate on. At the store I saw that you could get this stair nose so that you could continue the laminate down a set of stairs. I tried to talk with several different folks at HD but none of them had any personal experience installing a stair nose or laying laminate down on stairs. I watched some videos on Youtube and got the gist but that was after I had installed all of the laminate on the top level. What I didn't know was that you had to leave room for the stair nose to join your top level laminate. Needless to say, I had to do some after-the-fact modifications on some of the already installed laminate flooring upstairs to allow for this nosing to work (just to be clear, I have laminate on the top level of a split level and wanted to have laminate on my steps coming down from from there to the front entry landing which has linoleum tile flooring). This stair nosing was really the only option. It works. July 10, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by This product will work but the stair nosing is a trip hazard. The supplier needs to design a stair nosing that is not a trip hazard, but it is the only option available. September 7, 2013
