I like the Kohler Devonshire tub. It has the old world charm I was looking for in a bathtub, but the comfort and depth of a spa tub, plus the standard size I needed.
It does require a bit of care in that you cannot use abrasive cleansers on it, but with all of the great bathroom cleaners available now, I am not much bothered by it.
The texture on the bottom of the tub is sufficient for a good grip when showering, but I find the 'armrests' are sort of unnecessary, and could have been eliminated in order to provide a wider space at the base.
In all, it is terrific, and adds a note of luxury to my very small bathroom.

This is a great tub. But you should use the mortor method under the tub, or you will hear fiberglass cracking as you walk in it. Our contractor had to come back and add the motor under the tub, accessing it through the back wall to do it. After he did that, there has been no more cracking sounds. I love the arm rests', and comfortable back slant. This is a very deep tub, so just be forewarned that if you install a sliding glass door, that extra 1-2" added to the height, from the door frame, really makes a difference in getting in & out of the tub. It's a high step, and I'm pretty young, but I could see this being an issue once I'm older.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by RedRaider Fantastic Bathtub!
I LOVE this bathtub! I wanted a deep soaking tub but did not want a whirlpool, and this was the answer. It is a great depth and the built in arm rests are perfect. The apron has a clean and classic style and adds just enough detail. It looks great in our new bathroom!
I followed another reviewer's advice and bought a cable driven extended overflow. This lets you twist a dial on the bathtub to open and close the drain without having to reach into the water.
This tub is great and I would definitely buy it again!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by KMB27 GREAT ALTERNATIVE TO CAST IRON
I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS TUB. IT IS 6 INCHES DEEPER THAT A STANDARD CAST IRON TUB. WEUGHS A LOT LESS. ISN'T COLD WHEN I GET IN IT. AND IS A LOT MORE STURDY THAN A FIERGLASS UNIT. IT IS A WINNER ALL AROUND AND GREAT PRICE. STANDARD SIZE TOO.
