CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice size, but neutral bus too short for a full 20 120V circuits I needed to install a new subpanel in a narrow 12" gap (between wall studs on 13" centers), and this was the only flush-mount load center I could find small enough to fit that space that also allowed for 20 circuits (using twin breakers, which no all panels will accept). It comes with separate neutral and ground buses already installed (as required for a subpanel, but not a main service panel), which is a plus over some others that make you buy the ground-bus kit separately. Unfortunately, despite this being a "20 circuit" panel, the insulated neutral bus has only 14 holes. With one occupied by the incoming line, there's room for only 13 circuits' neutral wires unless you double up more than one wire per hole, which may be a code violation, or at least a red flag to certain inspectors. One possible reading of the panel's labeling would imply doubled neutrals are allowed, but that comes immediately after mention of using extra neutral holes as grounds (allowed on a main panel but not a subpanel), suggesting the doubling is permitted for grounds but not neutrals. I would rather not risk failing inspection over this. Longer neutral bars that will fit the included plastic mounts are hard to find. I've had no luck so far at Home Depot, competitor's stores or even online. May have to drill holes to mount the neutral bus from a different brand of load center, and hope the inspector doesn't object to that. This won't be as much an issue you use some breaker spaces for 240V circuits (especially the type of loads that don't require a neutral, like for a water heater), or plan to use no more than 3 twin breakers (two circuits in one space), but filling the panel to its stated capacity of 20 120V circuits is not possible without either doubling up neutral wires, or replacing the neutral bus.
