Rated 3 out of 5Â by cprice Nice looking system, but you better know what you are doing
This system does look nice; however, there are no instructions on how to set it up or start even the simpliest aquaponics system. The pieces of pipe and tubing look a little different than the picture, but it's not too hard to figure out. Once the system was going though we realized that the wood wasn't sealed, so we had to take it back apart and seal all the unfinished wood. Additionally, when the system is set up, the wheels on the bottom do not allow it to roll easily due to the weight. I just feel like for a couple hundred dollars the value wasn't the best. Also, a little summary on what fish and plants work best would have been nice.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Michael Priced a little high based on the quality of wood and materials
I shopped around and this is a unique product. Few comparible sizes. Overall good design and sound construction. The price is probably a steep markup based on quality of materials and size.

I am still putting it together, and am struggling to know what kind and how many fish, in what temperature, and what kind of plants to grow.
also, assembly instructions are missing

This is a nice simple system for people interested in starting a basic Aquaponics setup. It calls for a 10-gallon tank which can be stocked with any freshwater fish like goldfish. The gravel you want needs to be basic 1/4" to 1/2" river rock (do not use crushed coral, limestone, or Aquarium gravel). For plants, some herbs would be a good start. But any small plant (bush tomatoes possibly - but not root veggies like carrots, beets, etc.) would work. They can be grouped close together. The only chemicals you may need to add are some chelated iron and maybe calcium depending on your water. There are numerous online references for Aquaponic advice.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Jacqui It fits really well in our home and works great!
It's a great size for living in a rental and easily moved. However, if you have a dog that has a strong chase instinct make sure you have a room where it can be closed off! Our dog loves to try and chase the fish.
