CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 27 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by unfortunately had to return! This is a great jig saw, but I had to return it because I need a led light to cut dark woods when installing cabinets. I will buy again when they put in a LED light like most of their cordless tools. I have the 18v drills and 12v drills and love them. My idea was to have all Milwaukee tools, but I need to see what I'm doing. I did however give it 4 stars for ruggedness, ease of use, scratch guard, and look. Hopefully the boss will read this and make this tool perfect! August 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Power at the cost of weight This jigsaw is an excellent addition to one's toolkit, especially if you already have other tools from the M18 line. Its power is equal to corded jigsaws, and it offers the portability and convenience of lithium ion batteries. In a few situations - such as building things off in the woods, without lugging a generator along - it can be quite handy. The only "negative" I can think of would be the saw's weight, which seems on the heavy side - a minor issue, really. August 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Jigsaw ease The saw worked great when cutting laminate in the kitchen! Made it easy! August 13, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by A flawed jigsaw that could have been a great saw Starting with the M18 Sawzall, lovingly nicknamed "the beast", I decided to go with Milwaukee for 18V power tools. The M18 2645-20 jigsaw was the next tool I acquired. Several problems arose right away: The blade clamp skewed the blade to the right, making straight cuts very difficult. The splinter guard made it very difficult to see the blade as it cut. Visibility did improve, however, as the blade contacted the plastic guard (due to the skew problem), and ground the plastic guard into plastic dust. The difficulty watching the blade path was made worse by the lack of an light on the cut. I exchanged this saw at my local HD and the new saw was better, but not perfect. I found the trick with blade insertion is to hold the blade firmly in position (with no skew) and slowly release the blade clamp lever. On the first saw, as the lever was released, there was a strong pull on the blade to the right and the blade would lock with right skew. On the second saw, there is much less of a rightward pull and the blade would stay mostly in position. There is still a small right skew to the blade, but I think it is within tolerance (at least my tolerance). This is not a bad, defective saw to stay away from. It feels great to use, I like the weight and it cuts well. If you are willing to buy, test, exchange if defective, and repeat the process until you get a good saw I think you will end up with a capable, albeit finicky, tool. I don't recommend it if you want a "perfect out of the box" saw. I am going to buy a good but cheap corded jigsaw as a "spare". October 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Solid, powerful, but somewhat heavy A very well made and powerful jig saw - I haven't had any power issues, it seems to have power to match a corded jig saw. It does seem a bit heavy, not incredibly heavy but I would like to try the M12 version to compare the maneuverability of it. Very easy to change blades and clean. As another reviewer mentioned, I also had a problem with the tilt bar falling open, but that was easily remedied by taking off the plastic protector on the sole (it slides right off) and tightening a screw (or bolt, I can't remember exactly which). The manual actually shows how to do this. August 8, 2014
