Rated 4 out of 5Â by DanT Great Paint Marker For Most Surfaces
I was looking to try an alternate tool for painting details on a wall mural. I had been using multiple fine-tip paintbrushes and latex paint to date, and while this had been satisfactory, the entire process was still slightly tedious (get the paint, stir, dip, paint, clean, put away).
I purchased this set of paint markers to see if they would serve instead. I've been pleasantly surprised at how well they mark up various surfaces (wood, drywall, metal) and have started using them almost exclusively when doing fine detail work, They apply easily and dry very quickly with a glossy sheen (don't use in a matte application).
The only drawbacks seem to be the lack of a very fine point (which can be addressed by the delicateness of the touch), and the time spent priming the marker by shaking it vigorously the first use.
Overall, if you are looking for an easy, detail paint tool, this is a very good choice.

Been looking for replacements for some old ones I had for years that worked, but didn't work all that well. These work just like a regular Sharpie, but instead use paint! Great for marking on steel or tin. A necessity in any work shop

Need to put signatures on mugs for graduation presents. These worked perfectly though "fine tips" would have been helpful.

Perhaps they would work well on plastic or something, but not on wood as the packaging states. They remind me of the old paint pens that we used in Junior High School in the early 80's.
I wanted to touch up my wood Christmas yard art that had weathered through the years. After priming the pen the paint would not flow smoothly, thus leaving a streaked look rather than a smooth line. Since I only tried with one, I plan to return the purchase.
