Product Overview

The tattletale Glass Break Sensor is designed to detect the breaking of tempered, coated, plate, and multi-pane glass. 2-stage detection requires there to be a thump of an object hitting glass and the breaking of the glass to take place in order to trip the sensor. When installing make sure the test button is pointing towards the floor for proper detection.

  • Fully supervised, tamper-protected ceiling or wall mount
  • Seamless integration to the tattletale Unit allows for fast and easy set up
  • Detection range of 15 ft. over a 360 degree detection cone

Does this unit have it's own self contained alarm so it does NOT need to be hooked up to a household system? Want to go off like a simple fire alarm.

I just want to place it in a room and have it detect broken glass and set off it's own alarm off similar to standalone smoke detector. Do not want to attach to overall big home security system

Does this alarm have a decibel rating? Or does it need to be linked to a central alarm system with a separate siren?
