Take on any new home improvement project with the right tools for the job — even if you don't own them. Rent tools, use them, and bring them back when you're done. You can finish your project without cluttering up your workshop or basement with tools you rarely need.
Tool Rental
Using The Home Depot Campbell Tool Rental Center lets you do more complex DIY projects. Break free of the limits of old tools and rent up-to-date tools made to suit your projects. Complete your project safely and confidently by renting quality tools. If your local store doesn't have the needed tool in stock, it could be at another one within driving distance.
Add Insulation When the Weather is Cooler
For a more energy-efficient home, refresh your insulation in the spring — before it gets dangerously hot in the attic. Rent specialized equipment for insulation to install it correctly. Decide between a fiberglass blower or a cellulose insulation blower, and insulate those nooks and crannies properly. Help keep your heating and cooling bills under control with new insulation that maintains your home's temperature.
Tame the Greenery and Lawn Early
Lighten the load with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten the yard with a rental lawn mower and leaf blower rental, the trees and hedges with a chainsaw, and the sidewalks with a pressure washer. Your outdoor oasis will be ready for new spring flowers in no time.
Truck Rental
If it's time to start your DIY project but you need a truck to do it, stop by The Home Depot Truck Rental Center. From cargo vans and flatbed trucks to box trucks and Penske moving trucks, we've got the transportation you need. You're sure to find the correct size for your DIY project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. Rent a truck to check off more DIY jobs from your list. Check with your local rental center for availability, as it is subject to change.

How do I rent a tool or a truck?
Stop by your local Rental Center to see what tools and trucks are up for rent. If you want to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about a tool or truck. You could also visit our truck rental or tool and equipment rental pages to see if what you need is carried at your store. For more information on renting tools, read these Tool Rental FAQs, which includes terms and conditions for the equipment.
Can I rent a tool by the hour?
You can rent a tool for four hours or more. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small DIY jobs may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the day, month, or week, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call your Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I return the tools?
It's fine to return the tools early if you complete your project ahead of schedule, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need them longer, call the rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
How long can I rent a truck?
Rent a box truck, cargo van, or pickup truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on how long your project is. Don't forget to factor in the drive between the store and the job site, as you'll need to return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the contract before selecting a vehicle.
Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?
Yes, please fill up the truck before you return it. Match the amount of gas that was in the tank when you received the rental. If you don't, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Can I rent a truck with only a driver's license?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be over the age of 21. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
