So bummed
I painted my stove top with this. It looked so good until I used the stove 24 hours later. It is peeling and turning brown from the heat. This is so disappointing for me.

Let's see what we can figure out. Rust-Oleum Specialty High Heat Spray Paint is designed for application to high heat surfaces such as the exterior of barbeque grills and wood burning stoves. High Heat Spray Paint cannot be applied to a stovetop. We have no coating suitable for application to a stovetop.

I bought this to paint a metal garage door that gets so hot it blistered the paint that was previously on it. I stripped the door down to the bare metal and then used this to repaint it. It eventually turned out OK, but there were two issues: the coverage is awful (~4 sq ft per can) and it's hard to get a smooth finish because of the amount of over-spray "dust" the painting process creates. As I sprayed one section over-spray would accumulate on the other sections, and if I wasn't careful about removing it I'd end up with small bumps everywhere. It's only been on the door for a few weeks, so I don't know how it will hold up over time yet.

Thank you for your feedback! You can try using a lint free rag slightly damp, and gently wipe the surface to remove the dusting. If it's still rough after doing that, you'll want to sand the surface with a 180 or 220 grit sandpaper and make sure it's clean and dry before recoating. Please keep in mind that the surface does need to be heated 24 hours after application to fully cure the coating.

Coverage not great, but for high heat...?
For a high heat spray paint that's in stock and ready for pick up, it served the purpose, but I definitely agree with the other reviewers that the coverage is lacking. One can covered a little more than the front of one of these radiator covers and it took a couple coats to get even.

We understand your point of view. In order for the paint to be most effective and properly cover, one can of Rust-Oleum Specialty High Heat Spray Paint will cover approximately 7-8 square feet. If it didn’t cover approximately that amount please call us at 877-385-8155 to discuss further. Rustoleum

      Solid paint
Used this paint on an old hot water home radiator. Metal takes a lot of paint to hide darkness of metal. I believe that is normal for paints. Well performing, no clog. Defiantly need ventilation with high fume smell. One radiator required 3 cans. Re coat within one hour or after 48 hours so can do all coats in one shot. Pardon the construction dust in picture!

        Button to hard to push
Bought 2 cans of rust oleum white high temperature and the push button was very hard to push in Even tried the holder they sell and that wasn’t strong enough to push button. Very disappointed hope the paint holds up.

It seemed like a great product but...
Being able to spray paint my radiator sounded like a great option. Unfortunately this white paint barely whitened my radiator after four coats. Each coat causes more fumes but seems to do less whitening than the previous.

Let's see what we can figure out Jason. Rust-Oleum Specialty High Heat Spray Paint is designed for high heat surfaces such as the exterior of barbeque grills and wood burning stoves. High Heat Paint requires heat curing, raising the temperature to 450°F to properly dry.

That isn't good, Ken! Keep in mind that a minimum of 2 to 3 coats of the Rust-Oleum Specialty High Heat Spray needs to be applied and must be heated soon after application in order to cure properly. We would recommend sanding the surface smooth, making sure to remove any loose or peel paint. Then reapply and once dry heat the surface to at least 400 degrees for 1 hour to cure. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 5 Rustoleum
              White high heat spray paint
I bought White high heat spray paint To use on my stove I had to spray 4coats on it The finish is dry Matt look and it’s not easy wiping your stove with that type of paint on it so I just ordered the high heat clear glossy spray paint to spray on top of it to seal the matte paint so when you wipe your stove the paint won’t peel off or turn yellow,
