Q:I received my new refrigerator 2+ days ago, and there is still very little ice covering the bottom of the ice bin. My water dispenser also takes a while to fill up a glass of water. I can only compare it to my other refrigerator and my mother's refrigerator, both of which make ice much faster, and much quicker filling a glass of water. Is there a setting that can be adjusted to make ice faster. I noticed the Amana Team responded to another question saying it makes 6 lbs. of ice in a 24 hour period. This is obviously not the case with my refrigerator. Thank you in advance.

Q:Must I use the Pur water filter or can I hook up my reverse osmosis water system like on my current refrigerator?

                  Answer This Question

A:  For you to remove the factory water system filtration, you would have to remove the rear panels covering the back of the refrigerator. This alone would not void your warranty, but removing the entire filtration system, and running another system in its place will definitely void the warranty. If your filtration system is designed to be used as an external system, then just attach your system to the inlet hose on the back of the refrigerator. You would now have twice the filtration system, and still have your warranty as well.
