Q:i am wanting to do a whitewash (50% pain & 50% water mix) of brick in interior garage wall ; would this particular masonry paint be OK to use for "whitewash" or would some other Behr paint be more appropriate?

A: Hi daniel, thank you for your question. Unfortunately, we do not recommend any of our coatings for whitewashing, as diluting them 50% will affect the integrity of the paint. I suggest checking into specialty products designed for whitewashing. Good luck with your project! -Giovanna

A: Hi Steve, thank you for your question. As it turns out, we don't recommend adhesive material, such as mortar, to be applied on top of the Masonry, Stucco and Brick Paint, as this can cause performance issues with the coating. Have a great day! - Randy

Q:Can this paint be used on Hardboard siding? I see it can be used on "masonary brick and adjacent wood and metal surfaces". I understand it won't be recomended nor last the full 15-20 years but should it last 3-5 years on hardboard siding?

Q:After painting, I want to reuse the brushes and rollers, therefore I rinse these in a bucket. Where should I dump the water and paint that is in the bucket? It's exterior paint that is water based. Is it safe for the regular drain?

A: Hi Evey, thank you for your question. The Masonry, Stucco & Brick Paint can be applied to exterior vertical cement stones. Once the surface has been thoroughly cleaned and dried, this solid color paint should completely cover any previous stone color in about two coats. For added stain blocking, our Multi-Surface Primer & Sealer No. 436 can be applied before painting. Have a great day! - Randy
