A:  General contractor for 30 years did all my own painting. Never believe single coat. Always plan on 2. 2 light coats better anyway. Less drip and better chance u will get full coverage ( chance of u missing same spot twice pretty low odds).

However, our Marquee and Dynasty paints do guarantee one-coat coverage when tinted to a color from our One-Coat Color Collection and applied over a previously painted surface. Our Ultra Paint can be used for your cast iron surfaces so long as the heaters will not get too hot to touch or reach temperatures above 140 degrees Fahrenheit, as that will cause the coating to fail.
