Q:Can you wrap your own string spools or are you forced to buy pre-wrapped spools ?

Answer This Question
A: I always thought the pre-wrapped was priced moderately. You also have the option to purchase them from many stores. I've heard that the wrap your own is very time consuming.

Q:I just received my trimmer today and charged the battery (20volt for trimmer LST522) for the first time, it took 5hrs.15min. until the green light stopped blinking, is that normal to take that long or is it because it was the first charge?

Answer This Question
A: If I remember correctly, it just had one piece to put together. It wasn't difficult.

A: Minor assembly required. Attach the guard to trimmer's rotor with a phillips screwdriver and attach the handle onto the housing and adjust it up or down. Battery have to be fully charged before using the trim-mer.
by|Apr 25, 2022
A: No slight assembly needed
by|May 7, 2023
A: Yes...only thing you assemble is the guard
by|May 7, 2023
A: Almost. I believe the plastic line shroud has to be snapped onto the body of the trimmer. That's it. Hope this helps.
by|Apr 21, 2022
A: Yes, except you have to snap-in the battery.

A: I haven't seen the photo, but our machine doesn't have a "manual line advance button" That I can find. We just bump it on the ground, and it advances. Hope this helps a little.

A: Yes! My husband loves his weed wackier.
by|Apr 10, 2022
A: We apologize for the inconvenience. The unit LST522 does not have the advanced button. The unit will self feed.
by|Apr 5, 2022
A: No or at least I have not found it
by|Apr 7, 2022
Q:How does the automatic line feed work? If you don't have to bump the head to advance the line how does the head know when to release more line for trimming?

Answer This Question
A: Hello John Walden
Thank you for your contact. We apologize for any trouble or inconvenience with finding information. The advanced automatic line feeding
mechanism senses when more cutting line
is needed and feeds and trims the correct
length of line whenever it’s required.

A: I do not know how it work. But It works. W
When the string break shorter it create less tension so the spool release more string, you only have to replace the spool when it is all gone.
by|Oct 15, 2021
A: We do tap it on the ground in order for it to release the line

A: I would be guessing if I tried to answer your question in technical terms. But no matter how it does it, I can tell you that it works. Just make sure you reload the head exactly as the instructions tell you. If you crisscross the line back and forth the line won’t be free to come out of the reel on its own.

A: I have not weighed it, but it is the lightest weight trimmer I have ever used. The wheel allows you to totally rest it on the ground when edging and even can move against a firm edge when using as a trimmer.

A: 5.7 lbs
