A:  Hi, I use lithium grease to lubricate the garage door, that are the moving parts like pulley, hinges, pivot points, stems, nubs, arm bars...I dont lubricate the track, just need to clean it with WD-40 'cause I dont want dust stuck there. Sliding door just needs to be cleaned with appropriate material. I dont use lithium grease to lubricate a sliding door because I dont want dust stuck there either. I dont know for sure when you say a "sliding gate". Hope that help.

A:  Hey Gary yeah that stinks I’ve had other family members of the same problem. Honda had a settle a lawsuit because of the soy based insulation on their wiring. I’d like to be able to tell you that B‘Laster dry lube will fix the problem but we’ve never tried it for that purpose. It’s awesome will do anything it says it will do on the label and more! Do a search for New Hampshire oil undercoating. They are based in my home state and the stuff can’t be beat! They have a product called Mouse-Out And they will ship anywhere. My sister in law‘s Chrysler fuel lines or ravage by little..... I will lend you one bit of hard earned information, we lost a cat once because it chewed into a mouse that had been baited with mouse poison. I feel for you bud good luck!

A:  Hello Richard B'Laster White Lithium will not harm rubber hose. I use it for automotive seat slides, door hinges, metal tool box drawers, mower deck slides... it won't stain and sandy grit won't cling to it like it does to NLGI grease. I tried B'Laster Silicone Lube for fuel line repairs on wife's car. It worked great loosening the old rubber off and slide the new hose on. Perfect for the "O" rings in those fuel line connectors. PB B'Laster made easy turning of rusty bolts. You can trust anything on the B'Lastercorp(dot)com site to outperform at what it claims.

            Answer This Question

A:  Many shops use it for that purpose. It won't bind up and cause "wobbling" of the needle. Different manufacturers recommend their own type lube, so I'd check with them to be sure. When AC Delco stopped carrying the one for my 55 Chev I found Dorman 9-1812, which is graphite dry lube. B'Laster also sells graphite spray. B'Laster also has a chain & cable lube. I've always used B'Laster penetrant then I found all their other products at HD store/site. All good. Good Luck!

A:  My first experience with the Rust Belt Warriors was PB B'laster penetrant oil. When I tried the other B'laster products offered at HD, I found that each one exceeds expectations and CAN DO! what it claims on it's label. Grab and Go, it'll do what it says... and some! The Chain and Cable lube works on drive chain but stick with the Garage Door Lube on tracks hinges rollers etc. Check out blastercorp(dot)com click on "products" and see your choices.

A:  Each one can help, but what you want to accomplish is the key question! For the chain mechanism the best would be Garage door . and can help for the path in which the door opens and closes. White Lub is good if the Mechanism. The White lithium grease is good for rails and door openers that are exposed to heat and sun, for it will not dry as fast. As far as the Blasters there various types and each has it purpose, usually the label states for what it is, Thereba multipurpose Blaster that can be used, but dry faster!

A:  Hey Mike I use Blaster White Lithium Grease for vehicle door hinges and seat mechanisms, mowing machine / tractor linkage and slides. It won't stain clothing if presoaked. Sandy grit won't cling to it as much as NLGI 2 grease. holds up on black painted surfaces in the sunlight. The directions caution about applying it near flame. The MSDS has no determination for Boiling Point, Freezing / Melting Pt, Heat Value. Depending on what you plan to use it for, search for extra high temperature grease. There is grease out there that will hold up -40 to +500 F for things like racing car wheel bearings. Here's a pic of the back of the can. Best of luck!

A:  I live in Florida and it’s quite hot and humid here. I purchase this item a few years ago. I’m surviving Multiple SclerosisI & have trouble with my hands. However, even though I have issues with my hands. It was easy to use & worked well. You’ll just have to use it in a well ventilated area or wear a mask. And allow some drying time. I hope this helps.
