        Q:What material is the back panel? Is it wood or cardboard?

        A:  The back panel(s) are made of MDF and very flimsy. The method of assembly is tongue and groove which is a poor choice for a structurally important back panel. Instead of a single piece - this unit employed a 4 piece design out of cheap materials that was very hard to assemble with the intended rigidity.
