    Answer This Question

A:  No, but there is a version that has a thermostat. There is also a higher model that has some digital programming features, but I don't recall them being that "smart". I installed mine to a Mysa baseboard smart thermostat and it works great. Super happy with that arrangement.

A:  No, there is a thermostat built-in, and it knob you turn to control the temperature.

Q:Can you wire two of the 120v, 1000 watt units as a multi wire branch circuit (two phases sharing one neutral) off of a two pole 20 amp breaker with #12 wire?

        Answer This Question

A:  HI Brady1991, No they will fail catastrophically. Double pole breakers are 240 volts and 120 volt breakers are single pole. You need a different product. More than likely 240 volt baseboards. Such as the 240 volt com-pak but call us at 1-855-223-3887, we can help you.

        by|Dec 7, 2022

A:  Actually, yes, one can, but it is way beyond the scope of a DIYer. It requires a 12-3 cable, that is 2 hot conductors with a neutral and the ever-present ground. It must be wired through a 2 pole 20 amp breaker. Make sure only 120v goes to each unit.

            Answer This Question

A:  Hi Jjkk, UL safety standards require the heater to be placed a minimum distance of 3/4 inches (1.9 cm) from adjacent surfaces and 4-1/2 inches (11.4 cm) from the floor. Manufacturer recommends installations 12 inches (30.5 cm) from all surfaces for longer and cleaner performance. Glen Dimplex Americas Customer Experience Team

A:  Hi Tony, The unit can be installed in a 2 x 4 wall. If you haven’t installed drywall yet, make sure the front of the wall can extends beyond the front edge of the wall stud to match the drywall depth. If you already have drywall installed, place the can into the cutout so the front is flush with the drywall. A:  It is designed to run off of a thermostat.  It will cycle to maintain the temperature you set it at.  It has a built-in automatic safety shut off  if it gets too hot (by blocking the coils with an obstruction).

A:  Thermo set at 65 degrees for 225sq ft room, thermo kicks in and unit energized for approx 10 t0 15 minutes and shuts down when temp reaches 68/70 degrees. Temp on thermo dial reads 80 degrees.
