A:  You can use a 4.0AH Lithium Ion Battery branded by DEWALT with this tool.

A:  Yes.  You can any 20v and flex volt 

A:  No you CANNOT use the 20V max tool batteries in this 972 String trimmer, they wont slide on.

A:  Yes the DCHT820B can be used for that information.

A:  Yes.  If you hold it and pull the trigger.  Otherwise no.  It will just sit there looking at the bushes.  

A:  Cutting tough BlackBerry canes not a good fit, long handled limb loppers a better tool to use.

A:  No it won't

A:  Performs like a champ right out of the box. I have plenty of batteries and chargers so the tool only option is great for me. No slow downs or hesitations when cutting thick bushes and pre-lubricated.

A:  Yes, 9 AH 60v battery fits under handle with no height restrictions, but WILL make trimmer off balance, I use with 2 or 5 AH 20 volt battery to keep device on balance.

A:  Yes. I use the Flexvolt between my string trimmer, leaf blower, and the hedge trimmer.

A:  Absolutely yes

A:  Is this a flex volt tool? You can only use a 60v battery on a 60v tool. Flex volt you can use 20v or 60v.

A:  Yes, the tool is compatible with all 20v Lithium Ion batteries branded by DEWALT as well as DEWALT FLEXVOLT batteries.

A:  It is not recommended by the manufacturer DEWA:T to cut tumbleweeds.

A:  Never cut tumbleweeds but I use it to cut pampas grass ,which it very thick. Cuts great!  love this battery hedge cutter.

A:  Yes.  It helps if you cut one side so they stop rolling and then you can finish them off!

A:  I have 4 hedges ( total about 80 feet), I cut all the hedges in one charge. Then I recharge the battery. 

A:  The battery can last a very long time.  Sometimes I have used it two days cutting scrubs around my house without charging

A:  I haven't had an issue with mine but if I did I would contact Dewalt. The manual should tell you your warranty period.

A:  Sharpen, check the Dewalt website.

A:  The cutting blades are made from high quality, hardened steel and with normal usage, they will not require resharpening.However, if you accidentally hit a wire fence, stones, glass, or other hard objects, you may put a nick in the blade. There is no need to remove this nick as long as it does not interfere with the movement of the blade. If it does interfere, remove the battery and use a fine toothed file or sharpening stone to remove the nick.

A:  Yes, the DEWALT 60V is compatible with the DEWALT 20V tools.

A:  I don't know but if I had to guess I might say yes
