          A:  The Delta towel bar is 3/4" in diameter, and the Moen replacement bar is 5/8" in diameter. So the Moen will fit, but it will be loose.

                            A:  Hello Lyn, The towel bar has a tube that is not fixed into position and “floats” in the posts. This allows ease of installation and in case of adjustment. The ring on a towel ring is held in place by tension. The ring has a gap/space at the top and is spread open to fit into the holes on the post and the tension keeps it in place.
