Q:Does the washer on the sink side need putty or silicone?

A:  Hi Jeff, Thank you for your question. The washer does not require silicone or putty, but we do recommend to use silicone if the surface is rough or uneven. Best regards, Jon

      A:  Hi Barb, Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 72172-RB is not recommended with sinks that do have overflow holes. We do offer a push-pop assembly for sinks with overflow holes with model # 72173-RB. Thanks. Jody

        Q:it's great to have product size, but it would be more beneficial to know what size sink hole this product is meant for. Will it fit a 2" sink hole opening?
