Questions and Answers for Escali Primo Red Digital Food Scale

A:  The dimensions are 8.5 x 6 x 1.5 in

A:  yes. If you put your container on it before you turn it on, it tares automatically. If you turn it on before putting your container on it, just press the 'on' button a second time and it zeroes out.

A:  Yes, there is a tare feature you can use to zero out the scale with an object on the scale.

A:  This scale does not beep or make any noise when pushing the buttons or turning on.

A:  No. Mine does not.

A:  The minimum weight this scale can measure is 1 gram.

A:  Rechargeable batteries will work as long as the power output is the same as a standard AA battery.

A:  No

A:  We do not recommend measuring items in the range of 1 to 5 grams on the Primo Digital Food Scale. For this use case, it is best to use our Vera Compact Digital Food Scale or Pico High Precision Pocket Scale.

A:  Excellent product. Works perfectly, size is just right and we’ve been using it often and getting what we hoped for.

A:  I’ve only have measured meat, haven’t tried wet because I use measuring cups and measuring spoons for that.

A:  The Escali Primo can measure any ingredient by weight (ounces, pounds:ounces, grams) but it will not measure volume units. Try our Arti Digital Scale or Aqua Digital Scale for volume measurements of wet ingredients like water.

A:  Both, by weight. You can choose ounces (by weight, which is MUCH different than by volume) or grams.

A:  To measure wet ingredients you would have to put them in a container and use the TARE function. Dry ingredients can simply be placed on the platform, although with something like flour or sugar, you'd probably want to use a bowl as well.

A:  They are designed in the USA (Minneapolis) but manufactured overseas (Far East).
