Q:How the heck do you get the hinge pin out?! We have tried and tried to no avail. Even bought a hinge pin removal tool. It?s like there is a cap on top that is sealed.

A: These pins apparently cannot be removed. The pin has a head at both the top and bottom of the hinge, thus keeping it from opening. Perhaps Everbilt changed the style of the hinge without updating its description. See pics.

A: For the Everbilt 3-1/2 in. x 5/8 in. Radius Matte Black Door Hinge Value Pack (24-Pack), please make sure you are placing the pin in the hole underneath the bottom cap. Also, check the hinge top to make sure it has not been installed upside down with the sealed top of the pin is at the bottom instead. Instructions to remove a pin: To remove the pin, use a hinge pin punch, or nail and hammer method to remove the pin by placing your pin punch/nail in the hole underneath the pin cap at the bottom of the hinge and tap up. We also carry a Hinge Pin Remover tool reference: Internet #318058091 Model #28630 Store SKU #1006702800.

A: I bought some in April of 2024, and the pin can't be removed. The design of them has been changed and the description on the item has not been updated, at least this far into the future. I will be returning them.

Q:These squeak like crazy. The old hinges I replaced didn't squeak at all so I don't think it is a positioning issue. Any suggestions?

A: No idea. We've had ours for a couple of years, and they never squeak. WD40?

A: I think you might've wiped off to much grease, I'd add a
light amount to the pin & where the hinge flexs. Should be fine after

A: One suggestion to quiet the squeaky Everbilt 3-1/2 in. x 5/8 in. Radius Matte Black Door Hinge Value Pack (24-Pack) would be to remove the hinge pin and coat them with a lubricant such 3 oz. Tube Synthetic Grease with Syncolon PTFE that can be found here: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Super-Lube-3-oz-Tube-Synthetic-Grease-with-Syncolon-PTFE-21030/202932687. Another alternative would be to return these hinges and purchase the squeak-free version of the same hinge (3-1/2 in. x 5/8 in. Radius Matte Black Squeak-Free Door Hinge 12-Pack) which can be found here: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-3-1-2-in-x-5-8-in-Radius-Matte-Black-Squeak-Free-Door-Hinge-12-Pack-28326/314151693
