A:  GenStone can be attached to any flat surface as long as it's structural enough to handle about 1 lb per sqft. Our products come with a 25 year warranty.

A:  Hi Paul, GenStone is 100% waterproof when installed correctly. It can adhere to any flat substrate with adhesive and fasteners. The substrate will determine what type of screw you use, typically deck screws will work but if you're going into existing brick or concrete, you would need tapcon screws. Feel free to give us a call if you need any more help.

A:  Yes, the install would be the same, PL adhesive on the back of each piece, caulk the connections, but for the fasteners, you would use tapcon screws.

A:  To cover up existing brick, we suggest using Tapcon screws for fasteners and PL premium adhesive in an "S" pattern on the back of each piece.

A:  Some customers do attach the panels with adhesive only, but fasteners are required for the warranty to remain valid.

A:  All of our panels are sold individually. This particular piece is used to provide a finished edge and isn't meant to finish an entire wall. For most of your project you will use our full panel which delivers 3.20 SQFT of coverage per panel.

A:  Yes, the primary piece of our system is a 42" x 12" flat panel.

A:  Yes, GenStone can be installed over any flat surface. For stucco, deck screws will usually do the trick but if the stucco is tough, we recommend tapcon screws to establish secure contact with the substrate.

A:  All of our panels are sold as individuals. Our full panels cover 3.13 sqft per panel, the corner panels you're looking at are designed to offer a finished edge, not cover a lot of square footage like the full panel.

A:  Our customers do often use GenStone around fireplaces, but as a general rule, if the area is too hot to touch we would not recommend installing GenStone on that surface. You can however separate the area's with a small row of tile if necessary. I don't know what your local code is so I cannot comment on that.
