Q:Can either end be mounted to the wall?

Answer This Question

A:  Yes, but no. The way this shower arm is intended is for the longer piece to screw into the outlet in the wall and the smaller and downward facing section to be screwed into the shower head. It is meant to be used exactly as the photo shows. Straight out from the wall on the long piece and then slightly down for a rainfall type shower head.

A:  Hello, One end connects to a shower head and the other end connects to the stub out from your wall.

    by|Apr 10, 2019

A:  It is the same thread on both ends. So yes it can if it fits.

A:  Hello, The raincan shower arm comes with standard shower head threads on the end.

            by|Mar 20, 2019

A:  Sure it will thread on to this arm. As you probably know a normal shower head is designed for an arm with a 45 degrees angle where this is a 90. So make sure your shower head is adjustable enough to compensate for the 90 degree angle.

A:  Hi, This shower arm has standard threads. As long as the diverter connects to standard shower arm threads, you should be okay to use a diverter.

A:  They are supposed to be 1/2-inch NPT on both ends, however the threads on showerhead side were slightly too large on both I purchased (and returned). I suspect its a manufacturing defect caused by threading the pipe before it is heated to bend the elbow; the heat expands the metal on that end. The threads on the wall side were standard.

They do however offer a shower arm in a curved pattern that is 14 inches long http://www.homedepot.com/p/Glacier-Bay-14-in-Shower-Arm-with-Flange-in-Brushed-Nickel-59302-6404/205396686
