Q:How is it cut?
by|Dec 27, 2023

Answer This Question
A: Hello RoyW, it is recommended to use a carbide tipped circular saw blade. The fiberglass shards will go flying, so be sure to wear gloves and safety glasses. For a less messy cut, you can also use a pair of tin snips. Thank you, -Stabilit America

Q:Can u use a heating gun and form it to any shape on wood

Answer This Question
A: Hello Kris, No, our FRP panels have little to no bend tolerance. They will snap or crack if you try to bend them significantly. For the best installation, we recommend applying the panels to a flat vertical wall surface only. Thank you, -Stabilit America

Q:Will the store cut FRP board to size & if so how much is that service?

A: Hi TimL, Stores will probably not be able to cut this down for you. The fiberglass shards/dust cause a big mess. It would be best to ask your local Home Depot associate. If you plan on cutting them, we recommend using a circular carbide tipped blade for the best cut. Also, please be sure to wear safety glasses. Thank you, -Stabilit America

A: Home depot barely wants to cut wood, so, assume not. In my experience, the stuff is mildly flexible -- you can create a "donut" that is 3' across by 8', with a couple bungee cords, this may make transport easier. Just don't bend it sharply.

A: We have had this in our shower for about 20 years and it works, easy to wash, still looks good. It was easy to put up.

A: Actually, it is pretty clearly MADE for that purpose. It's a somewhat "industrial" look, but it is perfect for kid's bathrooms, etc., as well as laundry rooms, and anywhere that tends to be humid and begs for a waterproof covering

A: Hello Susan, Yes, these panels can be used for shower walls. As long as the joints are sealed with a silicone caulk then you should be good to go. Thanks, -Stabilit America

Answer This Question
A: You can do it with a razor knife, just be careful of your hands if you do, for obvious reasons. You can rough-cut it with a jigsaw and then do the final trim with a razor knife and a steel/aluminum ruler.

Q:Can it be used for ceiling?
by|Nov 22, 2023
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Hello Jane, We technically only recommend these panels to be used on vertical wall applications. The weight and flexibility of the panel makes it difficult to install on a ceiling. If you do use it on a ceiling, make sure you have a sturdy backer like plywood, osb, or drywall. We also suggest using our nylon rivets in addition to FRP adhesive for the best hold. The rivets help hold it securely in place until the glue dries. Hope that helps! Thanks, -Stabilit America

A: Hello Linda, The finish is designed to be a non‐adherable surface. If painting is necessary, a high-quality epoxy or acrylic‐based paint is suggested. Thanks, -Stabilit America

A: You can paint it with plastic-adhering enamel paints, like a rustoleum plastic object paint. I've used this to make Sandwich board signs using stencils, and it lasted for years. Mind you, you do have to be careful as it will scratch off pretty easily.
