Q:Can you sub out a Mason style jar for the light shades?
            by|Jan 6, 2020

            Answer This Question

A:  I tried it and the size works well, but to attach the shade you need to reach inside it to screw in the attachment that holds the shade and the light bulb. With the mason jar, you can't do this because it is closed at the bottom. So, you would need to come up with something else to attach the shade and hold the light bulb. Hope this helps.

            by|Jan 8, 2020

A:  No, it is not recommended to sub out the light shades for a mason jar style.

A:  i have this fixture as well. it seems like there was a plastic nut that held the shade on, you should be able to look at another one to make sure, but maybe you dropped it?
