A: They are called either threaded rods or threaded studs. If the specific size you need in an individual stud is not available, you can match it to a long rod with the same size and thread and cut it to length.
When ever cutting a threaded bold or stud, always put a nut above the cut so after you finish the cut, you can take off the nut over the newly cut threads and it will clean up the threads.

A: Rather easy repair. Just buy another on/off pull chain socket and wire it in place. Take the broken socket down to Home Depot to match it up.

A: If there's any chain showing, then just add some extension links. If you can't see any chain, I'd replace the light socket.

Q:Can I order a new lamp shade for the black shelf floor lamp?

Answer This Question
A: No, but you could make one pretty easily by wrapping fabric around the top of the posts. The factory one is literally a "box" open on each end that slips between the side posts.

Q:does the cord run from the top part of the lamp, or wired through the bottom? Thanks.

A: It's from the top, BUT it has 3 clamps to run along the pole that successfully keep it down so that you don't see them until you reach the bottom of the floor lamp.

A: It has clips to hide the cable down the length of the lamp.

A: On mine, the cord comes out the center of a wing nut and is then set into a clip at the underside of the upper shelf. At that point the cord just hangs down the center, hitting the next shelf and it looks ridiculous. I taped mine along the exterior of one set of legs going down to the floor so I wouldn't see the cord.

A: It pokes through the bottom of the top section in the middle of the board. You pull it to one of the posts and there are 3 good plastic clips that hold it to that post. The posts are nearly black and the cord is black. Not a problem for us.

A: The lamp has clips to run down the back side.
by|May 21, 2019
A: Pull cord directly under the lamp's top shelf activates the lamp, and the kit includes clips to route the cord down one of the legs, but only on the outside. Unless the lamp is in the middle of a room, the clips do a good job of hiding the cord.

A: The cord runs from the top of the lamp fixture but there are hooks you attach to the poles so that you can hide the cord and run it downt he back of the lamp.

A: The shelves all measure
10 1/4 inches square.
There is 15 inches between shelves and I'm pretty sure you can stack on end LP record albums.

A: Probably the record without the dust jacket, but I don't think it would fit with the dust jacket. The dimensions say 10.25 inches wide, which would be the shelf, but you have supports at each corner.

Q:can you buy a replacement shade?

Answer This Question
A: Possibly. I would suggest you contact Home Depot customer service to see if they could give you a contact number for the manufacturer. It is definitely not an off the shelf type of shade.
As another option, you may be able to drop a longer round shade over the bulb with the same effect, only it's round. Those type of shades are all over the place.
