The rails are metal and have a hard plastic insert that prevents the sound of metal crunching on concrete, brick, or any other hard material. Seem to be very well made and we have looked at a ton of furniture to find something that worked without being priced out of the ballpark.

A:  There should have been a red ribbon inside the box with an orange "bubble card" attached to the end of the ribbon. The bubble card holds the bolts and a hex wrench to fasten them with. You may have to contact HD customer service to help you get a new set if they've been lost or stolen.

A:  Hi Bill, the rocking chair is very easy to be assembled, you only need to put the rails of the rocking chair on and then it is good to use. The home depot offered at home assembly with extra prices, and it can not be delivered assembled unless you buy the rocking chair at the physical THD store.
