Q:I just bought 4 HB fans each with (3) 40 watt dimmable bulbs, can i replace them with higher wattage

    Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your question. Without knowing which fan you are referencing, we can not answer with 100% accuracy. This fan includes two 8.5-watt LED bulbs. In general, LED bulbs use less actual wattage than incandescent bulbs use. You should be able to replace the bulbs with a higher wattage equivalent LED bulb so the max wattage is not exceeded. We would caution against increasing the actual wattage of the bulbs. So, for example, we would not recommend replacing 40-watt incandescent bulbs with 60-watt incandescent bulbs. But, if the bulbs are 40-watt equivalent LED bulbs, there should be no issue with replacing them with 60-watt equivalent LED bulbs. Answer This Question

A:  Yes, it's good or angled ceilings.

      by|Jul 26, 2019

A:  Thank you for your question. Yes, this fan can be mounted on an angled ceiling. If the ceiling angle is greater than 30 degrees, you will need a 45 degree canopy kit like model #82725. This fan is compatible with 3/4" diameter downrods up to 48 inches in length.

Q:Anyone install Phillip hue bulbs in this yet? Will they work?

              Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your question. We have not tested this fan with the Phillip hue bulbs. The fan requires A19 bulbs to ensure proper fit. If the bulbs are A19 shape, they should be compatible.

A:  Yes, the light kit can be wired to a wall switch and still function with the remote.

                  by|Jan 9, 2019

A:  Yes. You will have to supply continuous power to the fan or have a separate wall switch for the fan to make this operation work.

                    by|Jul 30, 2020

A:  Thank you for your question. Yes, the fan has separate wires for fan speed and light control. The fan’s light kit can be connected to a light switch by bypassing the remote. Please note that installing this way will omit the light control function of the remote, but the fan speed will still be able to controlled by the remote.
