A:  Yes they can as they provide brackets to hold bottom of blind to door and parts to cover end and front of blind . You will have to pre drill holes for all hardware unless you purchase sheetmetal screws to replace there screws

A:  Sure they can be installed on a metal door. It comes with versatile mounting hardware allowing surface or flush mounting. You may need to pick up some sheet metal screws since it comes with wood screws.

A:  The blind is intended for a wood opening. The hardware is attached to the sides or top of the opening. A door does not have the inset needed to install the hardware. Also, take into consideration that the blind if you jury-rigged a way to secure it to the door - it is going to stick out 2+ inches from the door. My answer is NO, the blind is not suitable for a door. You might want to consider a very thin mini-blind.

A:  Certainly they can be but that would mean using self tapping screws for the metal door. Why not use a magnetic door blind instead? They come in a couple of sizes and work very well at covering the glass area. They are metal, not plastic. We purchased one for our back door and it works great!

Since these will be mounted on french doors, cordless blinds would probably be a better choice, so you do not have to worry about the cord being in the way. A:  Yes, they can be used on French Doors. They come with brackets for holding them in place. Instructions for shortening are included.

They have little plastic pieces that attach to your door at the bottom and then attach to the blinds so they don't swing freely when you open and close the doors. We shortened the ones we purchased. If you go online and search for how to shorten wood blinds, you'll find videos that will show you exactly how to do it. It wasn't difficult.
