A:  Yes you can use the light switch on the wall but to make adjustments of course with speed of fan or fan off but light on you have to use remote.

A:  Yes, you can use the light switch to turn it off and on. We just use the remote for the fan.

A:  If wired as instructed in the owner's manual the fan and light will turn off when the wall switch is set to the "off" position and when the wall switch is returned to the "on" position the fan and light will go back to their previous settings. So for example, if you had the light on and the fan off when the switch was turned off, only the light will turn on when the switch is turned back on. You can also bypass the receiver module and wire the light directly to a switch. This will allow you to power the light independently from the fan, but you will not be able to control the light with the remote control.
