Q:What is the right temperature for one that is only a refrigerator

A:  Home Depot provided and excellent price on this model. Same as shown in picture. We keep the temp at 37 degrees and it works great. Just be sure to keep adequate air space around it. Recommendation is 5 inches on each side and back between wall and back.

          A:  Depending on the model if it is not frost free it occasionally will require defrosting. and cleaning.

              A:  Usually you have to let a refrigerator stand for up to 24 hours to let the coolant settle before turning it back on. If it is an electrical thing - you are on your own.

                A:  Amps X voltage = watts 2 amps x 115vac = 230 watts. To be safe, say 300 watts and you won't go wrong.
