A: Happy to clear things up, Stephanie. Rust-Oleum Krud Kutter Tough Task Remover is designed to remove really tough soils quickly and effectively from many different surfaces, but make sure to test in an inconspicuous area first to ensure the desired results. For older, more difficult jobs, we recommend applying a generous amount of cleaner and allow to stand for a few minutes before wiping dry. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 5

A: I picked Krud Kutter up because my son's carpet had a big glob of Gak that had been in his rug for a year and I thought this is worst than gum and I will never get this out. I put Krud Kutter on the carpet let it sit for about a half hour and then when to work on the rug. I took a damp cloth and began rubbing the stain, in a matter of a few minute particles of the putty (Gak) began to come off. I was so impressed I reordered a small case and now this is the only cleaner I will use on hard to remove stains. I also had another type of putty similar to Gak that was given by Santa this year, and it had became embedded into my blanket. I thought nothing was going to remove this. So I grabbed the Krud Kutter and in minutes the blanket was free of the stain. I didn't take pictures, but now I wished I had, because this product truly works and I have been recommending it to my friends and family; and they have told me this stuff really works!. Stains that are oily, greasy, gooey or sticky can be removed from any surface and even the stain that had been in my son's rug for a year. Also I had a grease build up on my exhaust hood over my kitchen stove which had been there for more than a year. Everything I tried was not working and my arms felt like they were going to fall off. But when I tried Krud Kutter and left it on for a few moments if came off so easy. I thought I was removing the actual surface because I had forgotten what the original surface looked like. Don't just take my word "TRY IT AND SEE FOR YOUR SELF"

Q:My kitchen ceiling has 15 yrs of old grease build up on what's probably latex semi-gloss. I tried an ammonia based cleaner, but the smell of old grease remains. Will paint sometime in the future, but for now was wondering if this will safely remove the old grease and the accompanying smell without changing the paint finish. The ceiling does have some texture to it. Thank you

A: Best was to get rid of that is to repaint,
Reason is, you clean a lot more than do easy way out. I know you will spend more money;
But on the same token less headaches.
Might have to be primed 3-4 times before final coat, latex-enamel satin. Latex enameled semi gloss is a easy to wash off on walls, not for ceilings, it contracts build up over the years

A: Rust-Oleum Krud Kutter Tough Task Remover is a water-based biodegradable, non-toxic cleaner designed to remove really tough soils quickly and effectively from many different surfaces. An all-purpose formula (1½ cups of concentrate to 1 gallon of water) cleans and degreases appliances, mini-blinds, canvas, chrome, silver, brass, copper, porcelain, plastic, fiberglass, linoleum, aluminum, vinyl, patio furniture, walls and baseboards, carpets, upholstery, stainless steel, and wheels. We recommend applying in a test area first and allowing the cleaner to penetrate briefly before wiping off with a clean cloth or towel.
