Q:What is the best flooring to protect against radon gas in a basement?

Answer This Question

A:  Thanks for your question. Our floors are not meant to protect against any type of gas. If there is a concern with the site, it needs to be mitigated prior to installing Lifeproof.

Q:What glue would be ok to use with this flooring on a slab?

    Answer This Question

A:  Thanks for your question. We do not recommend or warranty gluing these planks down so there is no adhesive we can recommend.

    by|Jun 3, 2024

A:  No glue is recommended. It already has a backing and is a floating floor design. Glueing it to a slab will not allow it to expand and contract without causing issues with gapping.

        Answer This Question

A:  Thanks for your question. As long as the site and subfloor follow the guidelines in our manual (climate control, flatness, moisture, etc.) it's fine to install in a mobile home. Q:Can I use steamer on 30 MIL Fresh Oak
          by|Jun 2, 2024

          Answer This Question

A:  Yes. I have had the 6 mil laid down for 6 years and my wife uses a steam mop on it regularly. I’m guessing the 30 mil would be more for commercial use. These floors are extremely resilient to whatever comes across it.

A:  Thanks for your question. You can use a steam cleaner. We just recommend you use the lowest setting and don't leave it on one spot for too long.

                  Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your question. This flooring should not be glued down or installed under cabinets as it is a floating floor. Doing so will void the warranty.

                  by|Jun 3, 2024

A:  Yes, but not recommended. Why? Because the planks tend to shift once is acclimated to the traffic in the house. The planks need the wiggle room to accomodate.

A:  Thanks for your question. You should not glue this product down or install under cabinets. It will void your warranty. The planks need to be able to expand and contract freely.

A:  Thanks for your question. Yes. In each case, you will have planks with a gray backing and a black backing. As long as you insure you only use one color backing per row, the planks will lock together properly. If you need more info, please give us a call. (866) 843-8453
